12 Remain

There are 12 players left in the EPT Prague main event. Play will continue until nine players remain. Usually EPT tournaments play a final table of eight but as there are no TV cameras here they will play a nine-handed final table.

Nikolas Liakos Eliminated

Mikael Norinder, who in the previous hand took a big bite out of Markus Golser's ever-dwindling stack, has now taken out the Swede, Nikolas Liakos.

Liakos moved in on the short stack from the button and was called by Norinder in the small blind.

{A-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} for Liakos
{5-Hearts}{5-Spades} for Norinder

The board came {J-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}.

Play tightens up....

Since Sebastian Zink was eliminated in 11th place play has become a lot tighter. Most pots are being won by pre-flop raises. Until now it was rare that a raise got through without being called or re-raised.

Mattern vs. Palovic

Arnaud Mattern
Arnaud Mattern
On a flop which read {3-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}:

Mattern, on the button, bet 18,000 which was called by Palovic.

Turn: {3-Hearts} and both players checked.

River {7-Diamonds} and Palovic bets 120,000 into a 70,000 pot.

Mattern calls with {6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, a flush, but Palovic had already mucked his hand.

Christer Johansson Eliminated

Christer Johansson
Christer Johansson
The final-table bubble is Christer Johansson after he and Mikael Norinder got it all in pre-flop from the blinds. Mikael made the first raise to 125,000 from the small blind and Christer pushed for 235,000 total.

Mikael made the call with {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades} and Christer showed {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}.

The flop left Christer needing the {Q-Diamonds} to appear on the turn or river as it came {A-Spades}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}. The turn and river were the {6-Spades} and the {6-Hearts} and play finishes for the night with Christer Johansson being eliminated in tenth place, winning €39,200.
