Andreev Likes them Low

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Andrey Andreev knocked out two players earlier today with {8-Spades} {5-Spades}, now he sent Anton Astapau to the rail. Andreev raised and called the three-bet with {8-} {3-}, spiking two pair on the turn to crack the pocket aces of his opponent. Tiago Martinho is also up considerably on the very same table as well.

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Alex Goulder
Alex Goulder

Laurent Polito opened the action for 1,700 and got three-bet to 4,400 by Alex Goulder. Polito then four-bet to 13,000. Goulder thought for around a minute and moved all in for just under 50,000. Polito instantly called.

Polito had {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and Goulder showed {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}.

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{8-Clubs} giving Goulder a double up and reducing Polito to just over 11,300

Vieira Doubles Through Thorel

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

On a flop of {J-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {10-Diamonds}, a raising war started between Joao Vieira and Jean-Noel Thorel that ended up with the Portuguese at risk for his last 42,000 chips. Thorel had flopped two pair with {J-Spades} {8-Spades} and Vieira made the straight with {Q-Clubs} {9-Hearts}. The {3-Diamonds} turn and the {9-Clubs} river were both bricks for the Frenchman and he was left on the short stack.

Jones Runs In To Aces

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Rhys Jones opened for 2,000 from middle position and faced a three-bet of 5,400 from Rui Ferreira on the button. Jones took his time before four-betting to 13,800.

It was Ferreira’s turn to wait a minute or two before moving all in for just under 45,000. Jones made a slightly reluctant call and turned over {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. Ferreira showed him the bad news {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}.

A run out of {9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades}{q-Hearts} gave Ferreira a double up and put Jones back down in the pack.

Danchev Wins Two in a Row

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

In the first hand, four players saw the flop of {6-Hearts} {2-Clubs} {6-Clubs} everyone checked and the {8-Spades} turn saw Dimitar Danchev bet 3,600 out of the small blind. Artur Koren called and so did initial raiser Davidi Kitai from under the gun, Andrei Ivashkin folded. On the {7-Diamonds} turn, Danchev bet 11,200 and Koren made a crying call only to muck to the {2-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} of the Bulgarian. In table chat he revealed to have "obviously had a six there and almost folded."

One hand later, Raffaele Sorrentino four-bet shoved his shorter stack of around 20,000 chips with ace-queen and Danchev called with ace-king to score the knockout.

King High For Troyanovskiy

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Laurent Polito opened for 17,000 and found the redeemed Vladimir Troyanovskiy in the big blind as his only caller. A flop of {6-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{3-Spades} saw Troyanovskiy check-raise Polito’s 2,000 bet to 5,500.

There was no further action as the {a-Clubs} appeared on the turn and the {a-Spades} came on the river.

“King high.” Troyanovskiy declared, more in hope than expectation. Polito nodded and Troyanovskiy turned over his winning {k-Diamonds}{5-Spades}.

Nitsche Shoves River

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Jerome Arnould and Dominik Nitsche got to the river of a board reading {3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{a-Spades}.

Nitsche had saved up enough for a pot sized bet on the river and his last 25,000 went in the middle. Arnould contemplated the scary looking board for a while. He had just under 40,000 behind so it was a significant bet, but also a valuable pot. In the end though he let it go.
