McCorkell Wins Huge from Van Hoof

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Craig McCorkell
Craig McCorkell

Craig McCorkell raised to 45,000 preflop in early position then November Niner Jorryt van Hoof made it 125,000 in the next seat along. McCorkell made the call.

The flop was {A-Spades}{8-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} and McCorkell check-called a 160,000 bet from the Dutch player. McCorkell checked the {7-Diamonds} turn and van Hoof fired out a big bet of 450,000, just under half McCorkell's remaining stack, putting the latter to the test. McCorkell tanked for a minute and then announced "All-in".

Van Hoof folded instantly and tapped the table.

Behbehani Doubles Through Markin

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Leonid Markin opened to 60,000 from under-the-gun. Salman Behbehani shovd for 334,000 in the seat next to him, everyone else folded and the Russian chip leader made a quick call.

Markin: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}
Behbehani: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}

The board came a non-threatening {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{2-Spades}{7-Spades} and Behbehani doubled up - though Markin is still chip leader.

Cautious Play

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

No big clashes in the last twenty minutes. There has been an interesting dynamic between Craig McCorkell and Martin Quack in a couple of hands though. Quack opened from early position for 45,000 and folded to a three-bet from McCorkell. A couple of hands later Quack defended his big blind from a McCorkell open and check-folded on a king high flop.

Leonid Markin is still opening a lot of pots, attempting to rebuild his stack, and has a typical opening 3x bet of 60,000 while the other players seem to favour 45,000.

Kamar Uses the Fours

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Salman Behbehani raised to 45,000 and Fady Kamar defended in the big blind. Both checked the {A-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop before Kamar fired 60,000 on the {4-Spades} turn. Behbehani made the call and the {7-Hearts} came on the river. Kamar bet 135,000 and Behbehani called instantly.

Kamar showed {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and won the pot.

Behbehani Doubles Through Quack

Salman Behbehani
Salman Behbehani

Martin Quack raised to 40,000 preflop and was called by Leonid Markin in the small blind and Salman Behbehani in the big blind.

The flop was {3-Clubs}{A-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and it was checked to Quack who bet 60,000, Markin folded and Behbehani made the call. The turn was the {6-Clubs} and Behbehani checked, Quack moved all in and Behbehani called instantly.

Quack: {8-Spades}{5-Spades}
Behbehani: {A-Clubs}{3-Hearts}

The river was the {A-Diamonds} and Behbehani made an unneeded full house to double up.

Jorryt van Hoof Eliminated In 8th Place (£49,400)

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Jorryt van Hoof
Jorryt van Hoof

Jorryt van Hoof opened the pot for 55,000 and Leonid Markin called from the small blind.

They saw a heads-up flop of {4-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Markin decided to lead for 60,000. Van Hoof pondered for a short while before splashing out a chunk of red T25000 chips for a big raise. Markin announced all in and van Hoof called instantly.

Van Hoof had flopped top set {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades} but he was in for a nasty surprise as Markin tabled the {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} straight. The turn card {8-Diamonds} and river {k-Spades} couldn’t pair the board for the November Niner and his chips were pushed to Markin who hit the 3,000,000 mark.

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Philippe D'Auteuil
Philippe D'Auteuil

Philippe D'Auteuil was getting low on chips and when it folded to him he moved all in for 200,000. Fady Kamar asked for a count and raised to isolate. No one else wanted to get involved so it was cards on their backs time.

D'Auteuil {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts} Versus Kamar {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}.

A final board of {6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} saw Kamars hand hold up to bust D'Auteuil.

Kamar Catching Up

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Fady Kamar has been getting the better of Craig McCorkell in their most recent clashes.

Kamar had opened to 55,000 and McCorkell defended in the big blind to see a {K-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Spades} board. McCorkell checked and Kamar bet 65,000 which the former called. The turn was the {J-Spades} and McCorkell checked again, Kamar fired out a bet of 155,000 this time and McCorkell let his hand go.
