Wrang Doubles Through Moolhuizen

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Mateusz Moolhuizen opened to 27,000 from the cutoff and Jannick Wrang moved all in for 232,000 out of the small blind. Valentin Messina, who had been playing almost every hand in the first level of the day, tank-folded and Messina called after some consideration.

Wrang: {A-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs}
Moolhuizen: {K-Hearts} {Q-Spades}

The board ran out {3-Clubs} {3-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} and the better kicker of the former EPT champion won the pot.

Schillhabel Busts Boissenot

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Gregoire Boissenot had raised and folded to a three-bet of Hossein Ensan just a few moments ago and then moved all in for 204,000 from late position. Stefan Schillhabel moved all in from the small blind with the superior stack and enforced a fold from Jorma Nuutinen.

Boissenot was way ahead with {K-Clubs} {K-Spades} but Schillhabel's {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} got there on a board of {A-Hearts} {4-Spades} {4-Hearts} {3-Spades} {10-Diamonds}.

A Champion Battle

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Robin Ylitalo and Dominik Panka are two of the three former champions (the other being Yannick Wrang) left in the field and they just played out a small pot.

Ylitalo - the EPT10 London winner - opened from the cutoff and Panka - the 2015 PCA winer - defended his big blind. "Never fold your big blind, right?" asked the Swede.

Panka nodded as the {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop fanned in front of them. Yilato check-called 32,000 before the {k-Hearts}{9-Spades} turn and river were checked through. Panka opened {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} but lost out to Ylitalo's {a-Hearts}{5-Spades}.

Holz Dispatches Cortellazzi from Feature Table

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Since returning from the break, Andrea Cortellazzi was having a rough go of it up at the feature table.

Cortellazzi had dropped to 238,000 when action folded to him on the button and he put an a raise. Fedor Holz responded by three-betting from the small blind, and then Cortellazzi four-bet jammed. Holz wasted little time in making the call and Cortellazzi discovered he was in bad shape.

Cortellazzi: {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Holz: {a-Spades}{9-Spades}

The {7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} flop was no help to Cortellazzi, and the {J-Hearts} turn meant he needed a deuce on the river to stay alive. The dealer burned one last time and put out the {10-Diamonds}. Cortellazzi missed and took his leave from the main stage while Holz was pushed the pot.

Johnson Set for Deep Run

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Mitch Johnson honed his game in cash games back in the UK but is showing an increasing knack for tournaments. His stack is edging closer to the magic million-mark after he eliminated Moritz Dietrich.

Johnson opened to 26,000 from early position and called after Dietrich three-bet to 71,000 from the small blind. The flop fell {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and and Dietrich continued for 58,000. Johnson called and them snapped Dietrich off after he shoved for 270,000 on the {5-Diamonds} turn.

Dietrich opened {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and was drawing dead to the Brit's {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}. Dietrich was already on his way as the river came as {4-Clubs}.

Kyriakides and his Predictions

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Diogo Xavier Veiga moved all in for 97,000 and Miltiadis Kyriakides called out of the small blind with {A-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}. Upon spotting the {4-Diamonds} {4-Spades} of his opponent, the Greek joked "four in the window" and was almost correct with his prediction. The dealer spread the {5-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {10-Spades} flop before the {2-Diamonds} on the turn provided a gutshot.

However the {J-Diamonds} river was a brick and Veiga doubled.

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Yann Dion
Yann Dion

Yann Dion faced the three-bet of Robin Ylitalo to 53,000 and moved all in after having opened the betting action himself with a min-raise. The Canadian was at risk for around 200,000 in chips with {J-Clubs} {J-Spades} and found himself dominated by the {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} of Ylitalo.

The board ran out {2-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} {9-Clubs} {8-Spades} and Dion headed to the payout desk to collect his €14,750 for the 43rd place.

Miller Mauled by Ivarsson

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

A short-stacked Ori Miller got his last 91,000 all in preflop and found himself in dire straits against Alexander Ivarsson.

Miller: {k-Clubs}{5-Hearts}
Ivarsson: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Both players held a king, which meant it came down to the kicker. Ivarsson was best in that department, so Miller's best chance at winning was to find a five. It wasn't in the cards though as the board ran out a dry {10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} to send Miller to the rail.
