Thomas Holm raised to 4,300 from the cut off before Ari Engel raised it up to 10,000 from the button. Holm then went into the tank for several minutes before raising it up to 19,300. Engel thought for a moment before making it 47,000, leaving 2,400 behind. Holm made the call and was about to table his cards.

“It’s not showdown yet,” informed the dealer to Holm, referring to Engel still having chips to spare.

The flop came down {q-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Holm checked. Engel then bet 2,200 and was called.

Both checked the {2-Hearts} on the turn before the {4-Spades} completed the board. Again both players checked before Engel turned over his {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. Holm mucked as Engel raked in the pot.

“One of the most painful hands I’ve ever watched,” said Craig McCorkel, who was also seated at the table.
