Little Takes Salter's Little Stack

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante
"Chop!"
"Chop!"

Jack Salter opened the button for 6,400 with about 56,000 behind and Jonathan Little in the small blind pushed at least 150,000 forward, enough to put both Benjamin Pollak in the big blind and Jack Salter all in.

Pollak folded and the decision was on Salter. The EPT Grand Final and WSOP APAC runner up informed himself how much Pollak was playing. The Frenchman told Salter he had about 90,000 - so Little effectively risked 30 big blinds making his move.

Salter thought for just a bit more before calling. He got the bad news soon enough as Little showed {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} while Salter had just {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}.

After the {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades} on the flop Salter asked for a chop by yelling out that exact word. He did it again after the {3-Diamonds} hit the turn, but to no avail; the {10-Spades} on the river was a blank and Salter hit the rail.

Kanit Can’t Commit

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

The hand started with Mustapha Kanit raising to 6,000 from under the gun plus one. Francois Billard then bumped it up to 16,500 from the small blind and was called once the big blind got out of the way.

The flop of {10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} saw Billard bet 14,400 and get called before the {j-Spades} fell on the turn.

Billard paused for a moment before moving all in for around 120,000 in chips. The bet had Kanit covered, who only had 57,000 in chips behind.

He thought for a minute before finally mucking his hand as Billard raked in the pot.

McCorkell Applies The Pressure

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Craig McCorkell raised it up to 6,500 from the cut off before Igor Yaroshevskyy bumped it up to 18,000 from the button. The blinds folded and McCorkell called before both players watched the flop come down {7-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{2-Spades}.

McCorkell checked and Yaroshevskyy threw out 21,000. McCorkell thought for a moment before making the call as the {7-Spades} dropped on the turn.

Both players checked their option before the {5-Spades} completed the board. McCorkell reached for his chips and bet out 38,500. Yaroshevskyy tanked for over two minutes before finally releasing his hand, relinquishing the pot.

O’Dwyer Gives Up On River

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

The action folded around to Steve O’Dwyer on the button who raised it up to 7,000. Dmitry Gromov made the call from the big blind before both players watched the flop come down {4-Hearts}{5-Spades}{10-Spades}.

Gromov checked prompting O’Dwyer to throw in an 8,000 continuation bet. The bet was called and the dealer produced the {3-Diamonds} on the turn.

O’Dwyer bet out another 20,000 after facing a check, and again his bet was called. The {3-Clubs} completed the board and Gromov made it three checks. O’Dwyer thought for over a minute before opting to check as well, only to muck his hand when Gromov talbed {10-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for two pair.

Some Chip Counts from Around the Room

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

These are visual chip counts, we didn't actually ask the players how much they were playing. So these are rough estimates, sometimes complicated by players stacking huge towers instead of the de facto of 20-chip high stacks.
