Hunichen Spikes In Three-Way All In

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante
Chris Hunichen
Chris Hunichen

Chris Hunichen opened the betting from first position and got called by Tomasz Kowalski. Tobias Ziegler from the small blind then made it 7,500.

Hunichen then opted to move all in and when Kowalski asked for a count he found it was 68,000. He took a few minutes to think about it, sat as he was in the middle of a shove and a three-bet, before he too moved all in. Ziegler was all in too and the cards were on their backs.

Hunichen: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Kowalski: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Ziegler: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

“This would be a good time to flop and ace.” was Hunichen’s wry take on the situation.

The cards ran out {9-Spades}{2-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. It didn’t come on the flop but Hunichen hit to get a big triple up, bust Ziegler and put the hurt on Kowalski.

“When I get called twice I’m hoping for those two hands. Give me an ace.” a happy Hunichen said, stacking his chips after apologising to the departing Ziegler.

Divkovic Bluffed; Busts Shortly After

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Thomas Muhlocker raised it up to 1,800 from middle position and was called by Baden Logan in the cut off and Dejan Divkovic on the button.

The flop came down {9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{7-Hearts} as the action checked over to Divkovic. He led out for 2,800 which only interested Logan as Muhlocker got out of the way.

Both players checked the {8-Hearts} on the turn before the dealer produced the {8-Diamonds} to complete the board. Logan reached for his chips and slid in 13,000. Divkovic thought for a minute before finally releasing his hand.

“Bluff! Bluff! Bluff,” said Logan, as he tabled his {k-Spades}{j-Clubs} for king-high.

Divkovic didn’t look to impressed as he watched Logan stack up his chips.

Only a few minutes later our PokerNews reporter strolled passed the table only to find that Divkovic was no longer sitting in his seat.

Zeus Not Indefeasible

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Dutch player Zeus Post has been eliminated from the tournament. His former neighbor Ruben Visser filled us in on the details.

According to Visser the player in seat four, Bryan Leskowitz, opened the action with a raise to 1,800, his neighbor Tadas Zukauskas made the call, and Thomas Butzhammer on the button squeezed to 6,100. Zeus Post in the big blind shoved all in for just about 20,000 with pocket tens. Burzhammer made the call with {A-}{K-}.

The flop came king-high, and that was it for Post; {K-}{9-}{2-}{2-}{3-}. Ruben Visser in the meantime dropped a little and plays a stack of around 75,000.

Zbikowski Eliminated by Adam

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

The action folded around to Alfie Adam on the button who raised it up to 2,100. [Removed:2] was seated beside him and bumped it up to 5,200 before Mateusz Zbikowski moved all in for his remaining 9,200 from the big blind. Both his opponents made the call before the three watched the flop come down {3-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{10-Hearts}.

Maksoud instantly bet out 9,000 from the small blind sending Adam into the tank. A minute passed before he re-raised to 22,200. Maksoud only paused for a moment before releasing his hand into the muck.

Adam: {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Zbikowski: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

Zbikowski had been out flopped and found no help as the board ran out the {10-Diamonds} and {5-Spades} to see his day end early in proceedings.

Watson Eliminated by Grieco

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Mike Watson
Mike Watson

Mike Watson raised it up to 1,600 from middle position before Francesco Grieco bumped it up to 3,400 from the small blind. With the decision back on Watson, he thought for a minute before moving all in for just short of 20,000 in chips. Grieco quickly made the call before both players tabled their cards.

Grieco: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Watson: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

Watson was in front but it wouldn’t stay that way for too long as the board ran out {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} seeing Grieco spike and ace on the flop to take the lead and improve to a full house by the time the river came.

Grafton Vs. Bansi

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Sam Grafton was recently moved to Praz Bansi’s table and said he was looking forward to playing a hand with him. He just got that chance.

There was an early position open for 1,600 when Grafton three bet on the button to 4,400. Bansi was in the small blind and he four-bet to 7,800 leaving just over 30,000 behind. The initial raiser folded and Grafton made the call.

Heads up to a flop of {2-Clubs}{j-Spades}{k-Clubs} and Bansi continued for 9,000. Grafton called while studying his opponent closely. The turn card {k-Diamonds} was checked and the {10-Clubs} hit the river. Bansi bet 9,000 putting most of his stack in. Grafton made the fold.

“I wish we hadn’t played a hand together now.” Grafton said and reached for his phone. “I’m going to ask the English poker community for reads on Praz.”

Roothlus Comeback Time!

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Adam Levy
Adam Levy

"Adam, come back!" we heard someone shout. "Oh, I had him covered?" answered Adam "roothlus" Levy as he made his way back to his table. He had just a few chips left after he lost a hand where he apparently got two-outed.

He started with his comeback right away, and just doubled up to a very playable stack. In a small blind versus big blind situation he got it in with {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} against Stephen Graner who held {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}.

Levy was in bad shape, but he saw some possibilities after the {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}{10-Clubs} flop hit. "Hmmm" he said, undoubtedly asking for a king or ace in his head at the time. The {K-Spades} hit the turn, and the {9-Hearts} on the river didn't change a thing.

Adam LevyAfter a series of fortunate events I am back up to 54k at 500/1k. I was literally out the door after getting 2 outed.
