Hollywood Poker Open Season 4 Championship Event
Brotherly Love
Tyler Kenney just made note of the number of qualifiers in the field in the early going here.
Throughout the Hollywood Poker Open's fourth season, upwards of of 180 seats into this Championship Event were won, and Kenney said by the looks of it, almost all those players are here today.
Kenney was picked to play on his brother Brynn Kenney's New York Rounders Global Poker League squad last year, and immediately began kicking butt against some tough competition over there.
However, professional players are often attracted to qualifier heavy fields hoping to be in the right place, at the right time, when someone in for a discount, or on a freeroll, is looking to get creative.
As a result, Kenney sharply chose the Hollywood Poker Open Season 4 Championship berry patch over events like the $10k Six Max at the WSOP.
"I don't want to play against guys like my brother," he laughed.

Smith and Geilich Join The Fun
The field is slowly but surely swelling up and we just spotted two more top pros take their seats.
Ludovic Geilich - one of the most animated young players out there - is back for more after busting out late last night, and he looks to be happy with his table so far. Geilich burst onto the scene with a final table in EPT London when he finished fourth for $313,482, and a win in the UKIPT Marbella event for $171,790 that same year.
Earlier this year Geilich won the Wynn Classic Championship for $150,662, and at the M Resort this weekend he'll be looking to add to his $1.1 million in live tournament earnings.
Canadian pro Elliot Smith has $1.6 million in live tournament earnings, his biggest score being a third-place finish in the Aussie Millions Main Event for $497,258 back in 2009.

The flop brought out with two spades and the initial raiser bet 475, Karrim called.
On the turn the hit and Karrim called another 850. The river completed the board with the and now the initial raiser checked and Karrim threw out 1,475.

HPO Represents!
The man, the myth, the legend that is Chris Moneymaker got flopped dead by quads in a massive flip for most of his chips late in the day yesterday.
The Hollywood Poker Open Ambassador returns today with a desire for a revenge and 25,000 chips with which to exact it.
Joining him in a field that looks to be more than 50 percent qualifier at the outset is the ultimate qualifier herself.
2015 Hollywood Poker Open St. Louis Regional Main Event winner Linda Lieder qualified for the Championship today making a 2nd, 3rd, and 11th-place finishes in side events on the tour this year.
