Angel Howell saw action folded to her in the hijack and opened to 4,200. A player on the button shoved for around 16,000 and action folded back to Howell who made the call.

Howell's opponent found himself behind but with two live cards going to the flop, which came to give Howell a pair of eights. However, her opponent's outs remained unchanged.
The turn changed everything when the dealer flipped over the , giving Howell two pair and having her opponent drawing dead, wishing everybody good luck as the river fell and he was eliminated.

Melodie Poncik was seen in a new seat after having registered during the dinner break. In a hand she just played, she opened to 3,600 from early position and received calls from players in middle position, on the hijack, and in the big blind.
The flop fell and the big blind checked to Poncik, who also checked. The player in middle position made it three straight checks before the hijack bet 6,000. The big blind folded and Poncik check-jammed for around 26,500. The player in middle position folded and the hijack did as well, resulting in Poncik taking down the pot and increasing her stack by over 50 percent.

After three limps from players in early position, the cutoff, and on the button, Thomas Fuller completed his small blind. Stacy Smith then saw action on her in the big blind and she checked her option.
