Picking up the action in a three-way pot on a flop of JK9 with around 38,000 in the middle, action was checked to Davide Lipari, who fired out a bet of 17,000.

Jaye Renehan folded but Turlough McHugh called.

On the 9 turn McHugh checked to Lipari, who put out a bet of 26,500. This prompted McHugh to move all in for 91,500. Lipari made the call to put McHugh at risk.

Davide Lipari: AA
Turlough McHugh: Q10

Lipari's aces were drawing thin against McHugh's flopped straight and the 8 changed nothing to hand McHugh a full double upT

Stephenson Busts Brady

Level 14 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

William Stephenson opened to 14,000 in middle position and was called by John Ward in the next seat. Action folded to David Brady in the big blind who produced a three-bet jam to 62,000.

Stephenson pondered his options before also moving all in for 140,000, which forced Ward to fold.

David Brady: A7
William Stephenson: KQ

Brady was ahead with ace-high versus king-high, but the K10QQJ runout left Brady drawing dead on the turn versus Stephenson's full house.

Ward Doubles Through Mazilu with Rivered Quads in Huge Pot

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
John Ward
John Ward

Picking the action up on a flop of 879 in a battle between the two big stacks at the table, John Ward put out a bet of 8,000, only to be three-bet to 35,000 by Mihal Mazilu.

After some thought Ward announced he was all in for 198,000 and Mazilu immediately made the call to create a monster pot, with Ward at risk.

John Ward: 88
Mihal Mazilu: J10

In an absolute cooler, Ward had flopped middle set only to run into the made jack high straight of Mazilu.

Ward still had outs, and although the 6 turn did not alter matters, the 8 river gave Ward quad eights and sent him a huge pot.

As Ward thanked the dealer Mazilu looked stunned, but he still has a reasonable stack to work with.

Conal Prendergast recounted to PokerNews how he just busted the tournament. Prendergast three-bet AA to 18,000 after John Ward had called an early position open.

Ward moved all in on the Q108 flop putting Prendergast at risk. Holding the A Prendergast made the call for his remaining 42,000 and Ward turned over 73 for the flopped flush.

The Q turn and 6 river provided no help for Prendergast and he exited the tournament.

Turlough McHugh
Turlough McHugh

Jack Chen's stack had been demolished in the previous hand and he moved all in for his remaining 8,000.

Turlough McHugh called on the button and Gintaras Sabaitis also called in the big blind.

On the 2K7 flop Sabaitis moved all in for his remaining 26,000 and McHugh made the call. McHugh covered both players.

Jack Chen: 910
Gintaras Sabaitis: 96
Turlough McHugh: KQ

McHugh was ahead with a pair of kings but Sabaitis still had hope with his flush draw. However the 8 turn and 2 river changed nothing, with McHugh sending both players to the rail.
