Linton Gets Kings Cracked

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

We have already seen pocket aces cracked and now we have seen pocket kings smashed to pieces.

Jakub Michalak opened to 250,000 with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and Alban Juen three-bet to 595,000 with {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. Pete Linton then woke up with {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds} and four-bet to 1,300,000! The pot was already huge when Michalak moved all in for 4,750,000 and grew larger still when Linton called!

The {J-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{10-Spades} flop gave Michalak outs to a Broadway straight, meaning Linton had to avoid improving to a set otherwise he would double Michalak up. The {3-Spades} on the turn was as safe as a card Linton could have hoped for, but the {K-Hearts} was the river card, completing a straight for Michalak and gifting the Pole a huge pot.

Juan Alban raised to 255,000 with {A-Spades}{J-Spades} preflop and Xavier El Fassy flat-called with {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} before Pete Linton made it 820,000 with {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}. Both called to see a {5-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} but folded when Linton led for 970,000.

Linton Finds Jacks

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

Pete Linton has been on a rush of cards so far today and has seen pocket kings and queens already. Moments ago he found a pair of jacks in the hole and won a sizeable pot from it.

Gwendoline Janot opened to 240,000 only to Xavier El Fassy three-bet to 655,000. Linton then four-bet with {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} which saw Janot release her {A-Clubs}{7-Spades} but El Fassy called with the {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}.

The {5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{K-Spades} flop was as good as Linton could have hoped for and when El Fassy checked Linton bet 770,000. El Fassy wasted little time in mucking his hand.

Linton Trapped

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

Pete Linton raised to 325,000 with {K-Spades} {4-Spades}, his favourite hand. Jakub Michalak called from the big blind with {a-Hearts} {Q-Hearts}.

The flop was {A-Spades} {10-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} and Michalak checked it over to the aggressive Linton who obliged with a bet of 1,150,000. Michalak just called

The turn was {8-Clubs} and again Michalak checked. Linton bet again, 1,750,000 and Michalak called.

The river was {4-Clubs}. Perhaps Linton would have triple barrel bluffed but now he had showdown value and when Michalak checked for the final time Linton checked. They turned their cards over and Linton saw the bad news.

Jakub Michalak raised to 325,000 from the button with {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}, it was passed to Gwendoline Janot in the big blind who stuck in a three-bet to 900,00 with {J-Clubs}{9-Spades}.

Sneakily, Michalak opted to just call and see a flop of {3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. Janot continued with a bet of 700,000 and again Michalak just flat-called.

The turn was the {A-Diamonds} and Janot slowed down, Michalak fired 675,000 and Janot instantly folded.
