Espholm Holds On to Double Off Tsoukernik

Level 5 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Leon Tsoukernik
Leon Tsoukernik

Tom Aksel Bedell raised to 5,000 and Leon Tsoukernik called before Johan Espholm, on the button, three-bet to 20,000. Bedell got out of the way.

"All the way from Copenhagen," Tsoukernik said as he slid forward a stack of blue 25,000 chips, putting Espholm all in. Espholm snap-called for his last 82,000.

Johan Espholm: QJJ9
Leon Tsoukernik: A1098

The QJ5 flop helped both players as Espholm made a set while Tsoukernik picked up a straight draw. "One more," Tsoukernik said, standing up from his seat.

The 3 turn was no help, while Espholm survived on the 4 river to double up off the King's Resort owner.

"You had a beautiful hand. Even if you just call we get it all in on the flop," Espholm told him.

A Round of Chip Counts

Level 4 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The recently departed Hossein Ensan and Samuli Sipila didn't spend too long on the rail as both players have reentered the tournament.

Sipila Runs Into Aces

Level 4 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Samuli Sipila got his last 75,000 in the middle from the hijack and was up against Tomasz Kozub in the cutoff.

Samuli Sipila: AKKQ
Tomasz Kozub: AA109

Sipila needed help against Kozub's aces but fell further behind on the Q10A flop as Kozub made top set.

The 10 turn gave Kozub a full house and left Sipila drawing dead heading to the 8 river, sending him to the rail.

Bedell Raises Jovanovic on the River; Tsoukernik Building a Stack

Level 4 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Tom Axel Bedel
Tom Axel Bedel

With around 25,000 already in the pot on a flop of 949, Tom Aksel Bedell bet 5,000 from the hijack and Leon Tsoukernik folded on the button, while Nenad Jovanovic put in a raise to 13,000 in the small blind.

Bedell called and both players then checked the 6 turn. Jovanovic led out for another 10,000 on the 4 river and Bedell came back with a raise to 35,000.

Jovanovic called and Bedell showed KK98 for trip nines to win the pot.

Tsoukernik, despite playing a small role in that big pot, has more than tripled his stack since taking his seat in the tournament. Hossein Ensan, meanwhile, had no such luck today and was recently eliminated.

Radanov Crashes Out in Monster Pot

Level 4 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

A massive pile of chips totalling nearly 100,000 was already in the middle as Zemir Zuko and Damjan Radanov went to the river on a board of 256109. Zuko, in early position, bet 50,000 before Radanov moved all in for around 110,000 more.

Zuko called and Radanov instantly tapped the felt and got up from his seat. He turned over KKQJ, while Zuko had AJ1010 for a turned set to win the pot and send Radanov to the rail.

Dario Alioto, who was left with crumbs in his encounter with Tim Grau earlier this level, was eliminated shortly afterward and has reentered.

Foged Hits the Turn, Bujtas Spikes the River to Double

Level 4 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Pascal Foged raised to 3,000 on the button and Dario Wyler called in the small blind before Laszlo Bujtas, in the big blind, three-bet to 11,200. Only Foged called.

The flop came 9J8 and Bujtas checked over to Foged who bet enough to put Bujtas all in. Bujtas quickly called for his last 37,000.

Laszlo Bujtas: AAQ10
Pascal Foged: KQQ5

"Ten, please," Foged pleaded with the dealer, who obliged and turned over the 10 to give Foged a straight. The K on the river, though, gave Bujtas a higher straight and a double up.

"What are you doing," Foged said to the dealer as he handed over the pot.

Grau Leaves Alioto on Fumes

Level 4 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Dario Alioto raised to 3,200 in the cutoff before Tim Grau three-bet to 15,000 from the small blind. Alioto called and they went heads-up to a 524 flop.

Grau then continued for 8,000 and Alioto called. Both players checked the 10 turn.

The river came the K and Grau asked to see Alioto's remaining stack before tossing out two blue 25,000 chips for a bet of 50,000. Alioto, who barely had more in his stack, burned through several time banks before he called.

Grau turned over AA63 for the nut flush and Alioto mucked, leaving himself with just one 500 chip behind.
