Welcome to Day 3 of the Kings of Tallinn Main Event

Kings of Tallinn
Kings of Tallinn

Welcome to Day 3 of the 2020 Kings of Tallinn €1,100 Main Event at the Olympic Park Casino and the Hilton Park Hotel.

What an event it has been thus far. A total of 591 entrants got into the mix during the two opening flights along with another 83 entrants during the first blind level of Day 2 to bring the field up to 674 entrants.

The prize pool absolutely smashed the €500,000 guarantee with €640,300 being paid out to those that cash and the winner going home with a huge six-figure haul of €141,400. This makes it the largest single tournament held at this venue and the third-largest ever held in Estonia, just behind the two EPTs that took place in the Estonian capital a decade ago.

Three Finnish players are in the top five on the leaderboard to start the day including Akseli Paalanen (877,000), Ilari Sahamies (605,000), and Jaakko Hokkanen (562,000). Also in the top five are Sweden's Dennis Berglin (827,000) and Norway's Borge Dypvik (563,000).

Another player to keep your eyes on is Finland's Matias Knaapinen (221,000) as he is the only previous champion remaining in the event having won the Kings of Tallinn Main Event in 2017 for €45,007.

Today's penultimate day will play deep into the money today and will end when the final table is reached. A total of 80 players out of the 82 starting today will cash the Main Event for at least €2,100 with the winner tomorrow slated to walk home with €111,400.
