Day 1 Is a Wrap
Team PokerStars PRO was heavily represented by the likes of Humberto Brenes, JC Alvarado, Angel Guillen, Alexandre Gomes, Andre Akkari, and Victor Ramdin amongst others. All but one of the Team PokerStars PROS made it to the bag-and-tag portion of the day. Sadly, it was Team Argentina Pro Veronica Dabul who fell short of reaching Day 2.
Some of the other big names in the field were David Plastik, Jon Friedberg, Paul "X-22" Magriel, and Jean-Robert Bellande, all of whom failed to reach the bag and tag portion of the day.
Rob Woodcock looks to be at the top of the leaderboard at the end of Day 1. He may not be a household name in the poker world yet, but it's important to note that Woodcock was the chip leader coming out of Day 1 at this event last year. From there, he eventually went on to finish in ninth place. Also around the top of the pack are big stacks Daniel Mar and Tyler Netter.
Play will resume tomorrow at 12:00 p.m. local time and we hope to see you right back here for all the live coverage!
