Guevara Not Protesting Straight Flush

Francisco de Belaustegui started the day as chip leader, but it's been all downhill for him since then. In the latest Argentinian-on-Argentinian violence, Jose "Indio" Guevara got his short stack in with {8-Spades}{7-Spades} against de Belaustegui's {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}. The flop couldn't have been better for Guevara - {7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}. Top pair, flush, straight, and straight-flush draws. The {j-Clubs} on the turn was a blank. But the {9-Spades} gave Guevara a straight-flush. He doubled, taking another bite out of de Belaustegui.

Rockets Propel Ross to a Double

Bolivar Palacios opened the pot for a small raise and William Ross moved all-in for 59,000. Francisco de Belaustegui then moved all-in over the top and pushed Palacios out of the hand. Ross would be the one at risk as they turned over their cards:

Ross: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}
De Belaustegui: {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}

The {3-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} made things interesting. De Belaustegui could now win with another queen or a king. The {7-Hearts} on the turn was no help and all Ross needed to do was dodge the river. The dealer burned and flipped the {7-Diamonds}, doubling Ross to around 150,000 in the process.

Sansour Doubles Through Chan

Nicolas Alberto Fierro Gottner opened the pot for 25,000 only to have Terrence Chan reraise to 110,000. Martin Sansour then moved all-in for around 210,000 total. Gottner folded and Chan reluctantly made the call.

Chan: {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}
Sansour: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

The board ran out {2-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Sansour doubled to around 500,000 while Chan continued to slide all the way down to 180,000.

Horacio Buffoni Eliminated in 16th Place ($10,000)

Horacio Buffoni - 16th Place

Terrence Chan raised, and Horacio Buffoni moved all in for less than 70,000 behind. Chan called, and it was time to flip 'em. Chan showed {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} against Buffoni's {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}. The {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop gave Chan a gutshot and a runner-runner flush draw along with his live cards. "Let's make things interesting," he said. But the dealer went one better. She put the {4-Spades} down on the turn, ending the suspense entirely. Chan had a seven-high straight, and Buffoni was drawing dead. The useless {q-Spades} on the river just rubbed things in for Buffoni, and the Argentinian made his exit in 16th place.

Angel Guillen Eliminated in 17th Place ($8,820)

Angel Guillen - 17th Place

The last remaining Team PokerStars Pro, Angel Guillen, moved all-in preflop with {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and was called by Nicolas Alberto Fierro Gottner's {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}.

The {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} flop was disastrous for Guillen, giving Gottner a pair of aces. The {J-Clubs} on the turn left Guillen drawing to a four for a win or a king for the chop. Unfortunately for him, the {3-Diamonds} on the river was neither and he was knocked out in 17th place.

Matias Ruzzi was all-in preflop for 80,000 with the {Q-Spades}{2-Spades} against the {A-Spades}{K-Clubs} of Gustavo Flessak. The flop was terrible for Ruzzi as it came {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{3-Clubs}, giving Flessak trips. Ruzzi stood from his chair as the {10-Diamonds} hit the turn and left him drawing dead. The {A-Hearts} was run out on the river and Ruzzi was sent home in 18th place. Meanwhile, Flessak increased his stack to around 245,000.
