Bully, Thy Name is Manzano

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Alex Manzano isn't kidding around anymore. Sitting in the cutoff, he opened a pot pre-flop with a standard raise. Button player Fabio Colonese re-raised, clearing out the blinds. With action back to Manzano, he four-bet an additional 80,000.

Colonese took two to three minutes before five-betting an additional 120,000 on top of Manzano's four-bet. The seconds ticked quietly off the clock while Manzano pondered. With about a million left behind (against Colonese's 500,000), Manzano six-bet shoved. Colonese put his head down on the table, seemingly pained by his decision to call or fold. Several more minutes went by before he finally folded. Manzano casually flipped up {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}! Colonese tapped the table "good hand" and showed one card, the {9-Hearts}.

Politano's Turn to Spike and Double

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Bruno Politano
Bruno Politano

Action folded to Bruno Politano on the button and he moved all in for 303,000. Raphael Martins made the call from the big blind and the cards were tabled.

Politano: {Q-Spades}{6-Hearts}
Martins: {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

As you can see, Politano's steal attempt found him dominated with his tournament life on the line. Luckily for him though, Martins may have used up all of his run good earlier against Amos Ben Haim when he spiked trips on the turn to stay alive. The board ran out {J-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Politano hit a six to double up. Martins was left shaking his head as he was knocked down to 133,000 in chips.

Godinez's Aces Go Down

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

From the button, Cristian Velasquez moved all in for what looked to be around 360,000. Gerado Godinez made the call from the big blind when he looked down to see the {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}. Velasquez held the {A-Spades}{5-Spades}.

The flop came down {10-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts} to give Velasquez a flush draw. The turn was the {Q-Spades} and gave him a flush to secure his double up. The river completed the board with the {5-Diamonds}.

Godinez was knocked down to under 200,000 from what we can see. Once again, our view is limited due to restricted access to the feature table.

Raphael Martins Eliminated in 17th Place (R$14,350)

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Raphael Martins - 17th Place
Raphael Martins - 17th Place

A severely short-stacked Raphael Martins open-shoved from late position with {k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. Santiego Nadal, sitting in the small blind, re-shoved with {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}. Bruno Foster jokingly asked Nadal for a count before folding. A blank board of {6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades} improved neither player, allowing Nadal to drag the pot with his ace. Martins was eliminated in 17th place.

The tournament is on a pause while a table is broken.

Ben Haim's Day Gets Worse

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Eduardo Costa
Eduardo Costa

From the hijack seat, Eduardo Costa open-shoved all in for 147,000. Amos Ben Haim reshoved behind him in the cutoff seat for 420,000. Everyone else folded. Ben Haim tabled the {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and was up against the {K-Hearts}{5-Spades} for the at-risk Costa.

The flop came down {K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{4-Clubs} to give Costa the lead with a pair of kings. Ben Haim began shaking his head and then the dealer dealt the {K-Spades} on the turn to make matters worse and leave him drawing dead. The river completed the board with the {3-Clubs}.

Ben Haim sent over the chips and was not happy at all. He's down to under 300,000 now.

Another Three-Bet from Manzano

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Caio Brites raised to 43,000 from the button. Guess who got aggressive with a reraise from the small blind? You're right, the ever-aggressive Alex Manzano. He three-bet to 210,000. Everyone folded and the aggression paid off again for Manzano. Brites was left with 290,000.

Gerardo Godinez Eliminated in 16th Place (R$16,740)

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Gerardo Godinez - 16th place
Gerardo Godinez - 16th place

After getting extremely unlucky earlier with pocket aces, Gerardo Godinez was in "look for any hand" mode. He wound up shoving all in pre-flop with {q-Spades}{j-Spades}. Marcelo Fonseca was next to act and got in th ere against Godinez with {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}. There was something for everyone on a flop of {10-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{a-Hearts}, but Fonseca retained the lead. The turn and river were both small cards, {2-Diamonds} and {6-Spades}, neither of which helped Godinez. He's out in 16th place.
