From under the gun, Alex Manzano raised to 23,000. He's been raising just about every hand as all good big stacks do and hasn't been encountering much resistance from his opponents. On this hand though, action folded to Marcio Motta in the small blind and he three-bet shoved for about 170,000. Manzano quickly called after Cesar Plaza folded in the big blind.

Daniela Zapiello had the last of her chips in preflop with the on the feature table. She was up against the for Henrique Bernardes.
After the flop, turn and river ran out , Zapiello was eliminated from the tournament. Bernardes moved to about 750,000 in chips while Zapiello said goodbye to her tablemates with hugs for all and exited to the rail. She picked up R$14,350 for her finish. In February 2010, Zapiello placed fifth in the LAPT Punta del Este Main Event for USD $52,110.
Action folded all the way around to Fabio Colonese in the small blind. He raised to 24,000 to attack the big blind of Jose Carlos Rodrigues. Rodrigues fought back with a reraise all in for 104,000 and Colonese quickly called.

The board ran out to give Rodrigues the double up. Colonese dropped back to 475,000 in chips.
Action folded over to Amos Ben Haim in the cutoff seat and he put in an opening raise to 23,000. Raphael Martins three-bet to 50,000 from the button and both the blinds folded. Ben Haim made the call.
The flop came down and Ben Haim checked. Martins fired a bet of 60,000, which was met with an all-in raise from Ben Haim. Martins had 206,000 behind and Ben Haim had him well covered. After a minute, Martins gave it up and Ben Haim won the pot.
The first three-way flop of the day took place at Table 1 among Bruno Foster, Amos Ben Haim and Raphael Martins. Action on a king-high flop, , checked all the way to Ben Haim on the button. His bet of 43,000 was called only by Foster. Foster check-called another 62,000 when the turn came a seemingly harmless 62,000. He also checked the river, but Ben Haim smelled a rat. He quickly checked behind, prompting Foster to say "Ach!" as he tabled for top two pair. It was good.
Jose Carlos Rodrigues is a little steamed after chip leader Alex Manzano caught a lucky turn card. Rodrigues limped into the pot pre-flop from middle position, then called Manzano's big-blind raise to 34,000. Manzano made a cautious lead of 27,000 at a wet flop of ; Rodrigues called. When the turn came the , both players slowly peeked at their cards and checked in turn. Manzano fired again on the river , making the price of a showdown 42,000. He tabled after Rodrigues called. Seeing that hand made Rodrigues slam the table in frustration and show .
Table 3 is being played out on the stage, a restricted area for all but the players and the television crew. As a result we're not able to get much of the action that is taking place up there. We did notice Juan Parra recently leave the table. Apparently he was eliminated by Humberto Brenes.
Omar Miete seemed to sense his predicament after his under-the-gun shove for 102,000 was over-shoved by Cesar Plaza for 185,000. When it came time to showdown, Miete stood up, put on his coat and slung his bag over his shoulder before opening . Plaza showed and yelled, "Vamo!" after the board came clean, . Miete is the first casualty of the day.
From the cutoff seat, Gerardo Godinez raised to 22,000. Amos Ben Haim made the call from the big blind and the flop came down . Both players checked and off to fourth street they went.
The dealer placed the out on the turn, completing a possible flush draw. Ben Haim checked and Godinez bet 22,000, the same amount he had raised to preflop. Ben Haim made the call.
The completed the board on the river and both players quickly checked. Ben Haim turned over the for a pair of aces, playing the board as his kicker. Godinez held the for the same hand and the two chopped up the pot.
