Manzano's Maldito Rio

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

After about an hour of "check, check, check" there was finally some excitement. Of course it was Joao "Jack" Bauer who provided it. Bauer, sitting in the small blind, found action passed to him. In the blink of an eye, his roughly 650,000 chips were in the middle and called by big blind Alex Manzano. Bauer showed {a-Spades}{j-Spades} against Manzano's {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. Manzano has been running great for three days. Surely this hand would end Day 3, right?

Flop: {8-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Yep, still running good.
Turn: {j-Diamonds}. Not a problem. Just one more card to get past.
River: {j-Hearts}

Bauer let loose a primal, guttural scream at the sight of the river card. He then walked around the table to hug his friend, Bruno Foster. With that river, Bauer is up to 1.3 million and we're still looking for final table bubble boy.
