Manzano Missing Value and Bleeding Chips

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Alex Manzano has been the comfortable chip leader for most of the day, but a few mis-steps here in the late stages have cost him the lead. First, he missed value against Fabio Colonese after Colonese raised to 90,000 pre-flop and Manzano called from the big blind. Both players checked a flop of {10-Spades}{4-Hearts}{6-Clubs}. When the turn fell the {5-Hearts}, Manzano made a small lead of 70,000. Colonese called.

The river was the {a-Spades}. Manzano checked with the nuts, {7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, hoping to induce a bet from Colonese. Colonese was far too wise to that tactic and checked behind with an ace in his hand. Manzano collected the pot.

A few hands later, Manzano opened to 85,000 pre-flop. Leandro Csome, next to act, re-raised to 265,000. Manzano called to a ragged flop of {4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} and checked. Leandro made a weak-seeming probe of 205,000. Manzano went for a check-raise to 485,000, then quickly folded when Csome three-bet him back for 800,000.

Csome is the new chip leader.
