We've broken at least one table already, and a few other players have been moved around for balancing. As a result, some tough tables have come together. It was the table that contained Andre Akkari and Elio Fox, and they've both found that the table break has made their lives no easier.
Fox moved just one table over to join Matthias De Meulder and seven other players we don't recognize. He has position on the Belgian.
Akkari had to trek all the way across the room to find his new table, and he'd not like what he saw once he arrived. Taking his seat in the nine hole, Akkari has direct position on Lisandro Gallo, but he's out of position against a fellow Team PokerStars Pro. Holland's Fatima Moreira de Melo is in the two seat.
Two players checked the flop before Team PokerStars Pro Matthias de Meulder bet 1,100. The next player called before the first two folded.
The turn was the and de Meulder stayed on the gas with a bet of 2,500. His opponent called.
The river was the and de Meulder fired 5,200. After a minute of tanking, his opponent raised all in for around 16,000. De Meulder folded and dropped below the starting stack.
We just heard a familiar voice pipe up for the first time today.
"Good morning!" he said as he walked up onto the featured table stage with a broad smile at about 2:30 in the afternoon. It's Daniel Negreanu, and he's just taken his seat at a table full of relative unknowns. It was just seconds before Negreanu fired up the Twitter machine, too:
Pulling a @phil_hellmuth showing up in level 3 of LAPT slept off a hangover. Feels like a really smart move, I feel MUCH better
