Good Start for Varlamov

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Dmitry Varlamov has started off the day rather well.

The player under the gun plus one made it 150 and from the big blind the Unibet Open Tróia winner bumped the action to 550. The initial raiser made the call, but he folded after Varlamov made a 750 continuation bet on {7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{K-Hearts}.

So far so good for Varlamov.

Even on Day 2, which starts Monday, players are able to re-enter for the first three levels. The last two days of this four-day event will feature 60-minute levels.

None other than accomplished tournament director Thomas Kremser will be in charge of things today, so we expect a smoothly run tournament.

PokerNews will be on sight the entire day to bring you all the updates on the biggest hands, the worst bad beats and the biggest all ins.
