$200,000 Guaranteed Main Event
Day 1b Started
PokerNews is ready for another beautiful day of poker in Noah's Ark Resort in Cyprus. Day 1b of the $1,500 Main Event will start at 1 p.m., so in about an hour the cards should once again be flying.
The players will be playing nine 45-minute levels today, and they're able to re-enter the entire day. Even on Day 2, which starts tomorrow, players are able to re-enter for the first three levels. There will be no dinner break, just two 15 minute breaks. Play ends around 8:15 tonight.
None other than accomplished tournament director Thomas Kremser will be in charge of things today again. Yesterday 172 entries were made, already shattering the guaranteed $200,000 prize pool. Things can only get bigger today, although we expect a bit fewer players compared to Day 1a.
PokerNews will be on sight the entire day to bring you all the updates on the biggest hands, the worst bad beats and the biggest all ins. If you have someone you would like us to keep track of, use Twitter and tweet @Webjoker to let us know who's your favorite in the field and who we should keep our eyes on.

Tournament director Thomas Kremser has just announced the shuffle up and deal. There are currently just 27 players registered. Since players are able to (re)enter the entire day, it was expected not a lot of people would show up for the start. Yesterday the amount of entries grew slowly but steadily, sky rocketing near the second break to get to a total of 172. We expect fewer players today. Let's see!
Atanas Gueorguiev and Dmitry Varlamov both fired at least two bullets yesterday, but didn't make it through the nine 45-minute levels. They both busted, but they're back today for another shot. They have a crispy stack of 30,000 chips in front of them again, let's see how they fare today.

There are currently 32 players registered, but there are still some players at the registration desk waiting for their ticket. There are five short handed tables momentarily.
We picked up the action on a board and the big blind bet out 700 into Dmitry Varlamov. Varlamov, seated on the button, thought about it for a little bit, before raising to 2,075. The big blind didn't hesitate too much, and made the call.
The on the river completed the board and the big blind checked to Varlamov. The Russian player bet out 3,300 and was quickly called. Varlamov mucked instantly, and the big blind showed the while raking in the chips.
Varlamov opened the next hand with a raise to 250 from the cutoff. The big blind was the sole caller, and both checked on . The turn was the and the big blind bet out 600. Varlamov folded, leaving himself with 24,250.

Vladimir Troyanovskiy busted in one of the last hands of the night yesterday. While tournament director Thomas Kremser announced just four more hands to be played, Troyanovskiy gambled with six-four to either double up, or go home and try again today. It became the latter as his opponent had jacks; turned a set and rivered a flush.
Troyanovskiy is back for more today, and has a brand new stack of 30,000 in front of him right now.

The player under the gun opened to 900, a healthy nine big blinds to get things started. The player in the cutoff made the call, and Charlami Charalambos made it 3,900 from the button. The small blind quickly passed, not willing to commit 39 big blinds from his position.
The big blinds had a tougher decision though, and he thought about it for quite some time. It took him so long to make up his mind that the cutoff called the clock on him. Before the brush could come over, the big blind decided to fold his hand. As long as the big blind needed, so quick was the initial raiser under the gun with his decision as he instantly threw in three red 1,000 chips to make the call. The cutoff folded and they were about to see a flop.
The player under the gun checked, and folded after some hefty thinking to Charalambos' 7,000 continuation bet.
