Miller On Triple Stack

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Matthew Miller won the € 1,350 + 150 No Limit Hold'em - WPT Big Stack Single reentry event here in the Holland Casino in May 2015 and just increased his stack to almost three times the initial 30,000. He had busted one player already and then got involved into a hand with Jani Sointila and a third player.

On the {9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop, the action was checked to Sointila on the button and he bet 1,500 to get called by the player in the small blind and Miller in the cutoff. The {5-Clubs} came on the turn and Sointila now bet 2,200. Again the small blind called and Miller shoved for his massive stack. Sointila called and the small blind was shell-shock about the action, folded his cards.

Miller: {10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Sointula: {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The {6-Clubs} river gave the American a straight and he bumped up the stack further.

One hand later, Steve Watts raised to 600 and got two callers. Miller squeezed to 2,600 and then folded to Watt's four-bet of 10,725.

Good Start for Vranken and Milne

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Richard Milne doubled up early on. After a raise to 400, he called and two more players did so as well to see a flop of {10-}{7-}{6-}. The initial raiser bet 1,100 and Milne raised to 2,800, which only the preflop aggressor called. On the {4-} turn, the opponent of Milne check-raised from 4,500 to 10,000 and called all in with pocket jacks only to run straight into top set.

The river paired the board and Milne won the hand with a full house to get double stack.

Antoine Vranken in two seats over also increased his stack as well. He raised with pocket threes from the button and both players in the blinds called. On a flop of {A-}{6-}{3-}, the spot was perfect and the player in the small blind even found two pair on the {Q-} turn with ace-queen to leave three streets of value.

No Joy yet for Cimbolas

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Matas Cimbolas had flopped a set of fours in level one on the flop {8-}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} with both players in the blinds in the pot. The player in the big blind led for 500 and called the raise to 1,700 by Cimbolas. The {7-} turn saw a bet of the opponent for 2,200 and a call from the Lithuanian before he gave up on the {K-} river to another barrel.

"I have had so many hands and lost them all," Cimbolas joked.

There is a feature table in use and that includes Douglas Roberts, an American that qualified live for this event.

His biggest thread may very well sit in seat five: Artur Koren has already increased his stack and accumulated more than $1 million in tournament winnings in the career so far.
