Schiffbauer may Reenter

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

During the break, Robbie Schiffbauer walked over to the media desk for a quick chat and inquired whether or not it counts for the last longer bet if a player reentered. He was in fact referring to himself as the American busted in level two and may opt to jump into the action again today or before the start of Day 2.

Lin Doubles Twice

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Ping Lin first doubled up against Matthew Miller and then had the better kicker on the flop {Q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts} against Miller and Robert Soogea. The Dutchman called the check-raise of Lin and all further barrels on the {3-Diamonds} turn and {5-Spades} river to find himself in bad shape with {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs} versus {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} of Pin before getting some chips back a bit later.

Kovtunov Back in Action

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Gleb Kovtunov had a stellar start into Day 1a but the early run good backfired and he was out after the dinner break. Now the Ukrainian is back in and at the table of Matthew Miller. On the three-way turn {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts}, the player in the small blind led for 3,000 and was called before Kovtunov squeezed to 6,000. The player in the small blind reraised to get the third player out of the hand with Kovtunov jamming and getting called.

It was the {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} of the Ukrainian and the {A-Hearts}{K-Spades} of his opponent, already locking up a split pot.

Soogea Doubles Again

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

For the second time in an hour, former big stack Matthew Miller had his pocket aces cracked. This time it was Robert Soogea, who doubled up to stage a possible big comeback. Miller however continued his usual pace of playing almost every hand, getting some of the losses back by betting a three-way pot on the {6-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{J-Diamonds} flop for 3,500 and taking down the pot uncontested.

Everybody Upstairs Until Now

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

The screens show six seat open out of a field of 144 entrants and that may soon become an issue. There are only 14 tables upstairs and all of them are pretty much bursting. A few more late registrants may require to move players downstairs where another Side Event is currently taking place as well.

Banicevic Triples; Salsero Busts

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

On the three-way flop of {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, Vlado Banicevic moved all in for 7,000 after a bet of 700 and High Roller runner up Jer El Salsero as well as the third player in the hand called. The {9-Diamonds} on the turn got Salsero's remaining stack in with the {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for third pair and a straight draw while the third player in the hand called him off with {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}.

Banicevic was looking golden with {J-Spades}{10-Spades} and tripled thanks to the {2-Diamonds} river.

Kamal Gives Up the Flop

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

In a four-bet pot, Samy Kamal checked from the cutoff with the flop reading {J-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}. The player on the button then bet 4,200 for half the pot and that enforced a fold from Kamal, who still has everyone on the table outchipped by far.
