Matteo Eliminated; Pesek Advances to Final Table

Michael Pesek

On the board of {8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs}{A-Clubs}, Michael Pesek bet 6,000 before Paul Matteo raised to 16,000. Pesek moved all in and Matteo called to put himself at risk. Pesek held the {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} for top set and Matteo the {A-Spades}{3-Spades}. Matteo was drawing dead and the river completed the board with the {3-Hearts}. Pesek won the hand and earned his only bounty of the table, but it's the most important one as it's the one that allows him to move onto the final table.

From under the gun, Steve Kelly raised all in. Tony Vo called all in from the next seat on the button for 15,900 and everyone else folded.

Vo: {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Kelly: {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Vo was eliminated as Kelly picked up his first $2,000 bounty. Vo didn't leave empty handed though, he earned three bounties along the way for a total of $6,000.

Kelly Doubles

From the small blind, Steve Kelly moved all in for 33,400. Chau Giang made the call from the big blind for a little under half of his stack and tabled the {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. Kelly held two live cards with the {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}.

The flop came down {Q-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Spades} and Kelly took the lead with a pair of queens. Giang still held an ace as an overcard and also added a gutshot straight draw to the wheel. There was the possibility of backdoor diamonds as well.

The turn added the {9-Clubs} to the board and the river was the {7-Diamonds}. Both of those missed Giang and he paid the money he owed to Kelly.

Katchalov Busts Kelly

Eugene Katchalov checked the flop of {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Spades} to Steve Kelly. He bet 6,000 and Katchalov check-raised to 55,000, which was just about enough to put Kelly all in. Kelly thought for a bit and then moved all in with Katchalov calling the few extra thousand.

Katchalov: {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Kelly: {A-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

The turn brought the {6-Spades} to give Katchalov a straight. The river completed the board with the {8-Spades} and that was it. Kelly hit the rail and Katchalov collected his second bounty of the day. He's now heads up with Chau Giang.
