The announcements have been made and the cards are in the air for the 2011 North American Poker Tour Mohegan Sun $5,000 Main Event final table! The button is in Seat 4 with Vincent Rubianes to start things off.
On the third hand of play, Steve O'Dwyer raised to 60,000. Action folded to Vanessa Selbst in the big blind and she three-bet to 215,000. After a couple minutes of tanking, O'Dwyer made the call.
The two players took the flop of and Selbst was up first. She slowed down after three-betting preflop and checked the action to O'Dwyer. O'Dwyer also checked to see the fall on the turn. Selbst reached for chips and fired out 220,000. O'Dwyer made the call.
The river card was the and Selbst took a few moments. She then announced that she was all in, effectively betting about 550,000 to put O'Dwyer at risk. O'Dywer began to tank and tank and tank and tank and tank. We're not kidding when we say that he tanked for about 10 minutes before finally folding his hand. Selbst scooped the pot and is up to nearly 2.8 million in chips.
Action folded to Aaron Overton and he moved all in for a little over 300,000. Everyone folded and Overton won the pot.
From early position, Vanessa Selbst raised to 60,000. Action then folded to Vincent Rubianes on the button and he put in a three-bet to 160,000. The blinds folded and Selbst four-bet to 425,000. After a minute or so passed, Rubianes moved all in for about 1.7 or 1.8 million. Selbst quickly folded and Rubianes won the pot.
Selbst dropped back to 2.35 million and Rubianes moved to 2.2 million.
Steve O'Dwyer moved all in and Aaron Overton called all in for less. Everyone else had folded. Overton held the and O'Dwyer the .
The flop came down and O'Dwyer picked up the lead with a pair of sevens. Overton was the shorter stack and at risk of elimination if he couldn't find help on the turn or river.
The turn brought the and Overton picked up a flush draw. The river completed that flush draw with the and Overton sprung from his chair to high five his railbirds sitting in the front row.
"Nine of diamonds, baby! Exactly the card I was thinking of! Nine of diamonds! That's my card!" he yelled as he celebrated with his friends before going back to collect his chips.
Overton was all in for about 350,000 and O'Dwyer was knocked back to 160,000.

A few hands after having his stack crushed by Aaron Overton, Steve O'Dwyer was all in for 149,000. Overton made the call and everyone else folded. O'Dwyer was at risk with the to Overton's .
The flop and turn kept Overton in the lead with the coming down, but the on the river was exactly what O'Dwyer was looking for. He earned the double up and is back to 390,000 in chips.
Tyler Kenney, the start-of-the-day chip leader, opened with a raise to 90,000. Action moved to Joe Tehan and he three-bet to 228,000. When play got back to Kenney, he took a few moments and then moved all in. Tehan gave it up and slipped to under one million in chips. Kenney increased his lead to nearly 3.3 million in chips.
