Bardah Goes Bust

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Ronnie Bardah
Ronnie Bardah

Ruben Costa raised to 11,000 and Ronnie Bardah moved all in for 25,000. Action got back to Costa and he made the call with the {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}. Bardah was dominated with the {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}.

The flop was good to Bardah as the {K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{3-Spades} rolled out to give him top pair and put him in the lead. The turn added the {9-Spades} to the board and now Costa just needed a spade, a jack or an ace to eliminate Bardah.

The river completed the board with the {J-Diamonds} and Costa smacked a straight to send Bardah to the rail in 60th place, just a few spots short of the money. Costa increased his stack to 380,000 in chips.

Tehan Crushes O'Brien

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

From under the gun, Joe Tehan raised. Taylor von Kriegenbergh called from middle position and then Dan O'Brien reraised from the cutoff seat to 33,000. Tehan moved all in for 140,500 after action got back to him and von Kriegenbergh folded. O'Brien called.

Tehan: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
O'Brien: {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}

The board ran through {9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and O'Brien was crushed all the way down to 8,000. Tehan doubled and now has about 300,000 in chips.

"Bubbling Builds Character"

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Nick Binger
Nick Binger

From under the gun, Lonnie Heimowitz raised to 12,000. Adam Junglen three-bet from the hijack seat and then action folded to Nick Binger in the big blind. He reraised all in for 49,500 and Heimowitz folded. Junglen made the call and the cards were tabled.

Binger: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Junglen: {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}

The board ran out {K-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{A-Hearts} and the river delivered the blow that sent Binger out the door in 57th place. He officially became the bubble boy of the 2011 North American Poker Tour Mohegan Sun $5,000 Main Event after a final count of the players.

Binger is in great spirits though and even said, "I just keep telling people that bubbling builds character."

Beasley Drops First

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Mike Beasley
Mike Beasley

While Michael Binger was bubbling at one of the adjacent tables, the final hand was in play at Mike Beasley's table. The floormen arrived with the racks to break the table just as the dealer began dealing what would be Beasley's final hand of the day.

It began with Aaron Overton opening to 12,500, and Beasley three-bet him to 27,500 with about 100,000 behind. Overton four-bet shoved his {J-} {J-}, and Beasley quickly called off his stack with {A-} {K-}.

The {K-} {3-} {4-} flop was just what Beasley was looking for, pulling into a huge lead with two cards to come.

The turn was a disaster, though, as the {J-} left Beasley drawing dead to the {A-} river, eliminating him in 56th place. His table breaks while he heads home to Florida in search of some more action.

Froehlich Finds a Taker

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

On a {A-Hearts} {K-Clubs} {6-Clubs} flop, Tim Sullivan got his last 62,000 chips into the middle with {A-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds}. That kicker presented a problem with Eric Froehlich looked him up with the dominating {A-Spades} {J-Diamonds}.

The turn {3-Spades} meant there would be no chop, and the river {K-Hearts} was a swing and a miss. That's another player out, while Froehlich moves up to a very healthy 455,000 with that elimination.

Lee Two-Outed and Eliminated

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

After Thomas Hoglund Jr. raised the button, Bernard Lee reraised all in from the big blind for about 90,000. Hoglund Jr. made the call with pocket sevens, but was behind the pocket tens of Lee.

A seven flopped for Hoglund Jr. to give him a set and he held up from there to send Lee out the door.
