Gao Gets Li in Longest Hand
If there was a record for the longest time to a play a hand of cards, this one would be close. We arrived after the hand had started, with 10-minutes on the tournament clock before the break and by the time the hand had finished and the chips been stacked it had eaten into four minutes of break time as well.
There was close to 7,000 in bets, blinds and antes in the pot and three players were in action on a flop of 
. It was Qinrong Gao sitting UTG+2 who was first to act, and he checked over to Shaoming Li, who fired for 3,000. That was enough to get Australia's Phachara Wongwichit to bow out, and the action was back on Gao, who slid in the call.
Gao checked again on the 
turn and Li fired again, throwing out a single blue 5k chip. This is where time slowed and Gao tanked for an ice age before declaring he was all-in to send Li deep into the think tank, where he remained for close to five minutes.
Eventually, Li called and discovered the bad news, his 
had been bested by the 
of Gao, who had flopped the boat. There was no king on the river and the field was reduced by one, while Gao stacked up to 70,000.
