Li Up, Luo Out

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante
Xixiang Luo
Xixiang Luo

A pot involving almost an entire table just played out before the blinds went up, resulting in the elimination of Xixiang Luo.

It started with a 1,200 open which was then called four spots before it reached Luo on the button. He then moved all-in for 8,850, and was called in three spots this time.

The dealer spread a {2-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{7-Hearts} flop, and the original raiser jammed with the biggest stack. That got one fold, but Junjiang Li snap-called before revealing his {7-Clubs}{7-Spades} for a flopped set. Luo was drawing thin with {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and would need running hearts, while the original raiser had {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and would also need running cards. The {j-Diamonds} turn and {2-Diamonds} river changed nothing, and Luo hit the rail as the pot shipped to Li.

Li's up to 66,000 now.
