The Rich Get Richer As Leow Felts Lin

Ivan Leow

Not only did Ivan Leow win the HK$100K High Roller on Thursday night, he then followed that up by finishing Day 1c of the Main Event as chip leader. His big stack has only increased here in the first level of the day.

Leow opened under the gun to 3,700 and was then three-bet to 9,000 by Zhao Zheng Lin from the UTG+1 seat. Everybody else folded, and when it was back to Leow then came in for a four-bet to 22,000. Lin then snap-shoved for around 53,000, and Leow called just as fast.

Lin: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Leow: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Lin desperately needed an ace, but couldn't find one on the {5-Spades}{q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop. The {j-Hearts} turn gave him more outs, as any ten would now give him the nuts with a broadway straight. Alas, the {4-Hearts} river changed nothing and he departed. Leow is up to 230,000 now.
