The 2018 Oriental Poker Championship HKD $16,500 Main Event Live Coverage
Ready for another round? Good. So are we. After yesterday’s culmination of the High Roller as well as Day 1a of the Main Event, today the scene is set for Day 1b of the HK$16,500 Oriental Poker Championship 2018 grand spectacle.
There were 142 players in total yesterday, and when the chips bags were brought out 11 40-minute levels later, just 66 remained. Another 11 levels are on the cards today, and everyone who plays will be chasing the 186,300 stack of end-of-Day 1a chip leader Shun Yan Feng. You can view all of the Day 1a chip counts here.
As the High Roller is now over (Ivan Leow took that down late last night for HK$1,442,300, or US$183,740), you can expect to see all of the big names from that take a shot in the Main Event today. After all, there’s a healthy HK$5million guaranteed prize pool to play for.
Should anyone bust today, there’s always the Turbo Day 1c flight which kicks off at 6pm today. This event has unlimited re-entries, so expect some second, even third bullets to be fired later on.
When play ends today, we’ll know the full Day 2 (Saturday) field and seat draw. From there, Sunday is Day 3, and the whole thing will come to an end on Monday’s Final Day. Here’s a look at the Day 1 structure (it’s worth noting that levels increase from 40 minutes to 60 minutes from Day 2 onwards):
