Chip Counts at the Break

Andrew Pantling: 1,989,000
Kara Scott: 1,996,000
Christer Johansson: 1,407,000
Atanas Gueorguiev: 1,626,000

Kara Scott leads at the moment, but there's not much in it. We could see the pace slow a little when they get back -- unless, of course, some sort of deal is struck.

Gueorguiev's River Check-Raise Nets Good Pot

After a couple of pots fizzled out on the flop (one going to Johansson, one to Kara Scott) a bigger one grew between preflop raiser Andrew Pantling and Atanas Gueorguiev. The latter had limped on the small blind and then called Pantling's 50,000 raise.

Both players checked the {8-Clubs} {4-Spades} {5-Spades} flop, but Gueorguiev bet 85,000 on the {J-Diamonds} turn. Pantling called. The river brought the {K-Clubs}. Gueorguiev checked, Pantling bet 56,000, Gueorguiev quickly raised to 215,000. Pantling made the call -- only to find the Bulgarian on a set of fives which took down the pot. Pantling is on the decline, it looks like, for the first time in three days.

Pantling Not Giving Up

Christer Johansson raised to 80,000, called by Andrew Pantling, and they saw the {6-Hearts} {10-Hearts} {8-Spades} flop, which they both checked.

Come the {7-Spades} turn, Pantling bet out 110,000. Without further fuss, Johansson folded.

Scott Pushes Pantling Off a Pot

Scott - taking it very seriously
Scott - taking it very seriously
Atanas Gueorguiev and Andrew Pantling limped in on the cutoff and button respectively, only for Kara Scott to make it 180,000 from the small blind. Gueorguiev didn't fancy it, but Pantling made the call and they saw a {2-Clubs} {10-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} flop. Scott bet out 250,000, and Pantling gave it up there.

Christer Almighty!

Come on my sson!
Come on my sson!
Another finalist takes a bite of Andrew Pantling's stack -- this time it's Christer Johansson. He saw the flop of {7-Spades} {3-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} in position on Pantling, who check-raised that flop (from 125,000 to 350,000). Johansson made the call. The turn brought the {3-Diamonds} and after some deliberation, a bet of 340,000 from Pantling. With no deliberation whatsoever, Johansson moved all in. None too happy about it, Pantling folded, taking the Scandinavian pro over the two million mark.

Aggressive Andrew Advances

Four pots in a row to Andrew Pantling. He takes one with a straight raise preflop, then two more by coming over the top of preflop raisers (Christer Johansson and Atanas Gueorguiev) with raises to 235,000 and 215,000. The fourth time, he's on the button, it's come full circle, and he takes the blinds once again. Not used to being the short stack, Pantling is doing his very best to stop being it.

Pantling Pushes

Andrew Pantling raised to 80,000 under the gun, called by an expressionless Atanas Gueorguiev in the big blind.

Flop: {4-Clubs} {10-Spades} {8-Hearts}

Gueorguiev checked to Pantling who bet 100,000 -- and then check-raised to 275,000. Pantling announced "All in" with only the slightest of pauses, and after a moment's thought, his expression still giving nothing away, Gueorguiev passed.
