George Not An Early Riser

Sammy George shouts from his section at the feature table to Eddie Hearn, "No more morning heats!"

"I don't think it makes a difference..." replies Hearn.

"Yes, it effing does!" shouts George in a blunt assessment.

The 'A' Team

Antonio Estfandiari has been chatting to PKR online qualifier Andreas Johansson about which clubs to go to in Vegas. Estfandiari recommending XS at the Encore above all others.

At the poker table, Estfandiari called a bit of 800 on the turn of a {7-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} {K-Spades} {5-Hearts} board but dwelt for ages before folding to a 1,300 bet on the {2-Hearts} river.

Nam Le Versus Lex Veldhuis Next Up

Taking up another empty table is an interesting tussle between Lex Veldhuis and Nam Le.

Lex Veldhuis mentioned that he believes Nam Le thinks that he (Lex) views Nam as a very tight player, and thinks that Nam might play incredibly aggressive instead as a result.

On the feature table, Sammy George is bemoaning his cards, "All I'm getting are 8-2's and 10-4's. I wouldn't mind if they were suited."

Sandra Naujoks still holds the advantage in that match.

Antonio Estfandiari has dropped to about a 2:1 chip deficit after folding to a big 3,500 bet from Andreas Johansson on the river of a {4-Spades} {4-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {Q-Spades} {K-Spades} board.

Lex Jacks Up Another Level

After Nam Le took the early advantage in his battle with Lex Veldhuis, he limp reraised on the button for a second time against the Dutchman.

This time though Veldhuis shoved, but looked worried when Nam Le instantly called.

Veldhuis: {A-Spades} {J-Hearts}
Le: {K-Clubs} {K-Spades}

Board: {J-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} {4-Spades} {2-Hearts} {J-Spades}

Boom! And with that river Veldhuis doubles his 9,325 stack. Nam Le is crippled with 1,400 as a result

Helppi Doubles Through Westerlund

On a {9-Spades} {7-Clubs} {8-Clubs} flop, all the chips go in between Jonas Westerlund and Juha Helppi.

Westerlund shows {10-Spades} {7-Clubs} for a pair and a straight draw, but Juha has flopped the straight with {6-Clubs} {5-Spades}. The turn is the {10-Hearts} and now Westerlund has additional outs to split the pot.

The river is the {2-Spades} though and Helppi doubles through.

Helppi Busts Westerlund

Juha Helppi has completed his victory over Jonas Westerlund, the Finns...er... 'Finnished' it when Helppi's {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts} stayed ahead of Westerlund's {A-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} on a {4-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {J-Spades} {3-Clubs} {J-Clubs} board and the PKR online qualifier was knocked out.

Newcomers

Vicky Coren and Peter Eastgate arrive to play their match. John Duthie also arrives, as does Tom 'Durrrr' Dwan wearing a backpack and looking like a kid arriving for his first day of school.
