Welcome To Day 2 Of The PKR Heads Up Grand Slam!

Welcome back, the tables are being fixed up are we type. The very lovely Kara Scott is in make-up and on presenting duties and some of our players are already here.

The first three round 2 matches will be the following:

John Duthie vs David Steicke
[Removed:335] vs Vladmir Geshkenbein
Tony G vs Sandra Naujoks

Players will start with 20,000 chips and the blinds 100/200, 30 minutes levels once more.

A Steicke Spot

With the board reading {Q-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} {3-Spades} {K-Spades} David Steicke finds his bet of 200 check-raised to 700 by John Duthie. Steicke calls and then calls 2,100 more on the {K-Diamonds} river but Duthie's {Q-Spades} {3-Clubs} flopped full house is more than enough to secure him the pot.

Duth At The Top

John Duthie raises to 500 and David Steicke calls.

Both players check the {4-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} {J-Clubs} flop before Steicke fires 600 on the {A-Diamonds} turn and then 1,225 on the {3-Diamonds} river. Duthie calls both these bets and Steicke says, "Good call," mucking his hand.

Duthie shows {J-Spades} {4-Hearts} for flopped two pair

Setting The Tone

Tony G continues to have the advantage in the feature match, he fires bets of 1,000 on the turn of a {10-Clubs} {7-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} board and then 2,000 on the {Q-Hearts} river. Naujoks calls the first of these but elected to fold on the river.

Bein's Comeback...

Geshkenbein has managed a bit of a turnaround, he check-called down on a board of {6-?} {6-?} {7-?} {K-?} {J-?} with {Q-?} {7-?} for a big pot.

Soon after he got paid on the river of a {4-Clubs} {2-Clubs} {5-Spades} {9-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} board, showing {K-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} for a missed flush draw but a rivered top pair.
