Mitchell Value Towns Himself

James Mitchell raised it up preflop from the button and Paul Carr called in the big blind. The flop came {4-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{2-Clubs} (excuse my language) and both played checked.

On the {7-Clubs} turn, Paul Carr check-called 135,000, and then 155,000 on the {4-Hearts} river. When the cards were flipped, it looked like Mitchell was making a value bet on the end, thinking his {A-?}{7-?} was ahead, but it wasn't, Carr tabling {K-?}{6-?} for top pair.

Mitchell Muscles Another

Santeri Valikoski raised to 125,000 from the button. Paul Carr folded but James Mitchell reraised again, making it 350,000 to go. This time however, Valikoski called in position.

The flop was {Q-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} and Mitchell bet a suspiciously small 250,000 but it was enough to make the Finn fold. The Englishman has dominated proceedings since the dinner break.

Mitchell Takes Down Another One

James Mitchell raised it to 135,000 from the small blind and Santeri Valikoski made the call in the big. Both players checked the {8-Spades}{4-Hearts}{Q-Spades} flop, but were less hospitable on the {7-Hearts} turn, Mitchell betting 170,000 and Valikoski making the call.

A {3-Diamonds} river led to another bet from Mitchell, this time for 350,000, but Valikoski made the fold. Nevertheless, Mitchell extends his lead and is looking like the most likely to become the 2010 Irish Open Champion.

Aggressive Streak Continues

It would appear as though James Mitchell is unwilling to release his foot off the pedal as within the opening couple of hands, he three-bet Santeri Valikoski's open of 135,000 to 335,000 to pick up the pot.

Dinner Break

After James Mitchell takes down a pot on a {5-Hearts} {Q-Spades} {4-Clubs} flop with a 103,000 bet against Paul Carr, we're now going on a 1 hour dinner break.

We'll see you at 8pm local time!

Full Roll

Santeri Valikoski raised to 100,000 from the button and Paul Carr made it 350,000 in the small blind. On the {4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop, Carr checked, and Valikoski bet 300,000.

"Looks like check-fold," predicted Neil Channing in the commentary box, and he was right, as Carr did indeed release his hand.

Mini-Roll

James Mitchell and Santeri Valikoski reach the turn of a {K-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{J-Hearts} board where James Mitchell leads out for 115,000. Valikoski two-bets to 375,000, which is could enough to take down his second consecutive pot. Vilkoski on a mini-roll.

Valikoski Wins a Three-Way

Three-handed, Paul Carr decided to raise it up from the button to 86,000, but received two callers in James Mitchell and Santeri Valikoski on the small and big blind respectively.

After Mitchell checked the {6-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{A-Spades} flop, Valikoski bet out for 125,000, which was enough to pick up the pot.
