Paparestis Fires Three Barrells

Cos Paparestis raised the button and Patrick Bermingham defended his big blind. On the {4-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flop, Paparestis carefully counted out 3,900 in chips and slid them across the line. Bermingham quickly called.

A {Q-Diamonds} turn led to another check from Bermingham, another bet from Paparestis (this time to the tune of 8,300) and another quick call from Bermingham.

The river came a {9-Diamonds}, and Paparestis had no interest in slowing down, firing out a final bet of 16,900. Bermingham paused for a few seconds this time, but still made the call.

Before he'd barely shown his {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, Paparestis's cards were in the muck quicker than jet-propelled whippet. "Knew he had a flush draw," came the sigh.

Paparestis drops to 35,000.

Diamond Market Is Flooded, Loses Value

With the board reading {K-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} Andy Miles led out for 6,000 before Mark Hallet moved all-in for about 24,000.

Thomas Merved moved all-in behind him and Miles called both pushes.

Merved: {Q-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} for a flush draw.
Miles: {8-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} for a straight flush draw.
Hallet: {K-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} for top pair and the best flush draw.

And with only five diamonds left, it was looking very good for Hallet and his hand held on the {7-Clubs} turn and {8-Clubs} river. However Merved was knocked out due to the river as Miles took home a very small sidepot as a result.

Hallet is up to about 75,000.

Trueick = New Chip Leader

Alan Trueick is your new chip leader after winning a monstrous pot for 215,000! All the chips hit the middle on an {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop, Trueick just looking to evade one of two outs with {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts} versus {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}. A {2-Hearts} turn and {2-Diamonds} river was a raggy as it gets, and Trueick picked up both the pot, and a smile the width of the room.

Jacks for Jen

Mr X (he overturned his playing card - grr) opened for 3,800, only for Jen Mason to bump it up to 8,500. As the action folded back to Mr X, he paused, considered his options, and pushed all in for what appeared to be around 25-30,000.

Mason didn't look comfortable, but after mumbling something to her foe and waving her hands, she eventually made the call with {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}. Mr X tabled {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}, allowing Mason to sit back in her chair and exhale a breath of relief, thankful that it was her in the driving seat.

The {A-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{K-Spades}{8-Diamonds} board was as safe as houses, and Mason earned herself both the pot and the scalp. She now has well over 100,000 and rejoins the chasing back.

Tureniec Eliminates Magill

"You can be my wingman any day Maverick."
"You can be my wingman any day Maverick."
A raising war between the former EPT London runner-up Michael Tureniec and Irishman John Magill ended with victory for the former

Tureniec flipped his {8-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} against Magill's {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts} and although the latter briefly took the lead on the {K-Clubs} {J-Clubs} {9-Clubs} flop, the {5-Clubs} turn left him drawing dead. And then just for good measure, Tureniec hit the {8-Hearts} on the river to make extra sure.

The Swede is up to about 100,000.

Being Levelled

We've been told we'll be playing 6 or 7 levels tonight, but with just 125 players remaining, it might be that we just play until the money.
