Matakis' Turn To Double

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

There was around 25,000 in the pot on a board of {7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{j-Spades} and action was on Jared Koppel, who was in early position and facing an all-in bet from Ian Matakis out of the hijack. The bet was cut out onto the felt and totaled exactly 20,000, and Koppel threw in chips to call after close to a minute in the tank.

Matakis tabled {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for a set of deuces and Koppel immediately sent his cards to the muck. Despite the all-in situation, Koppel's cards were not shown as the dealer scooped them in with the rest of the deck and shipped the pot to Matakis.
