Aaron Curti Eliminated in 15th Place; Scotter Clark Eliminated in 14th Place ($4,741)

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Aaron Curti
Aaron Curti

James Lawrence opened to 40,000 from the cutoff and was called by Bob Van Syckle, who was on the button. Aaron Curti was in the big blind and reraised all in for 80,000, receiving calls from Lawrence and Van Syckle to give him an opportunity to triple up with any future action going into a side pot between Lawrence and Van Syckle.

The flop came {4-Hearts}{9-Spades}{j-Hearts} and Lawrence checked. Van Syckle slid out a stack of chips to bet and Lawrence quickly folded to leave just two players remaining.

Aaron Curti: {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Bob Van Syckle: {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

Van Syckle's flopped pair of tens was ahead of Curti's ace-high and nothing changed as the turn {k-Spades} and river {3-Diamonds} completed the runout to earn Van Syckle the pot as Curti was eliminated from the tournament.

Moments later, Scotter Clark shoved all in from the cutoff and was called by Gennady Shimelfarb.

Scotter Clark: {9-}{9-}
Gennady Shimelfarb: {j-}{j-}

Clark was unable to hit a nine as the board ran out clean for Shimelfarb, resulting in the 2015 Fall Poker Classic Main Event Champion taking 14th place in the tournament.

Jesse Rockowitz Eliminated in 16th Place ($4,012)

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Jesse Rockowitz
Jesse Rockowitz

Jesse Rockowitz opened the action with a raise to 35,000 from under the gun and action folded around to Justin Thurlow, who three-bet to 80,000 in the cutoff. Rockowitz four-bet all in for around 320,000 and Thurlow called.

Jesse Rockowitz: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Justin Thurlow: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The two were in a classic coin flip situation for the runout of {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, leaving Thurlow's queens best to send Rockowitz to the payout desk in 16th place.

James Lawrence opened to 35,000 from early position and received two calls before Alex Winter three-bet all in from the big blind. Lawrence reshoved to isolate the other two out of the pot and the two turned up their hands.

Alex Winter: {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
James Lawrence: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Winter was unable to hit a seven as the board came {5-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} to result in his elimination in 17th place.

Erick Wright Eliminated in 18th Place ($4,012)

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Erick Wright
Erick Wright

Erick Wright shoved all in for 145,000 from middle position and action folded around to Saad Ghanem, who asked for confirmation of the amount before announcing a call.

Erick Wright: {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Saad Ghanem: {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Wright was in need of improving and was unable to do so on the flop {7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. The turn {a-Diamonds} took away his six outs but provided eight new ones for him to sweat. He would not get there, however, as the river came {10-Hearts} to leave him with ace-king high to Ghanem's top two pair to result in Wright departing the tournament in 18th place.

Paul Hickerson
Paul Hickerson

Paul Hickerseon shoved all in for his last 85,000 from under the gun and Bob Van Syckle, who was next to act in middle position, announced a call. All remaining players folded and the two tabled their hands.

Paul Hickerson: {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Bob Van Syckle: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}

The flop {7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{10-Spades} fell in Hickerson's favor. However, Van Syckle regained the lead on the turn {j-Diamonds} and kept it as the river fell {5-Spades} to send him home in 21st place.

Moments later, Robert Galinson was seen headed to the payout desk as well to become the 20th place finisher, bringing the tournament just one elimination away from the final two tables.

Bobby Cassioppi
Bobby Cassioppi

Action folded around to Bobby Cassioppi, who shoved all in for his last 10 or so big blinds. Eric Torgerson quickly called from the big blind.

Bobby Cassioppi: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Eric Torgerson: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

Cassioppi needed help to stay alive and it would not come as the dealer brought a runout of {q-Clubs}{2-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades}{9-Clubs}, resulting in his elimination from the tournament shortly after the redraw.

Lawrence Gets It All from Jaeschke

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
James Lawrence
James Lawrence

Action saw 35,000 go in preflop from both James Lawrence in the hijack and Cody Jaeschke in the cutoff. The two saw a flop of {2-Spades}{3-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and Lawrence checked. Jaeschke put out a bet of 50,000 and Lawrence check-raised to 140,000.

Jaeschke thought for a bit and then announced he was all in. Lawrence quickly called, leaving Jaeschke unhappy at the transpiration of events.

Cody Jaeschke: {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
James Lawrence: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

Jaeschke's pair of nines was still best but he would need to fade a dozen of the remaining cards in the deck to stay on top. The turn {6-Clubs} was exactly what he didn't need, giving Lawrence the nuts before the river {8-Hearts} finished the runout.

Stacks were counted and Lawrence's was totaled to be 287,000. Jaeschke's was 250,000 and he was wished a good game from all before making his way to the payout desk.

Zeph Baer

Zeph Baer saw action folded to him in the cutoff and opened to 17,000. Jeff Taylor was on the button and three-bet all in for 63,000 and Baer made the call upon action folding its way back to him.

Jeff Taylor: {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}
Zeph Baer: {j-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Taylor was on the plus-end of the coin flip going to the runout, but would not stay there for long as the board ran out {6-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} to give Baer a pair of queens on the flop and send Taylor to the payout desk.

Jaeschke Sends Schumacher Home on the Bubble

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Cody Jaeschke
Cody Jaeschke

Sammy Whammy opened the action with a raise to 20,000 from early position and was called by Cody Jaeschke, who was in the cutoff. Jake Schumacher three-bet all in out of the small blind and action folded around to Jaeschke, who decided to call. Action was held up due to the all-in-and-call situation.

Meanwhile, Everett Carlton and Nghia Le got all in on an adjacent table as well and it was time for both runouts to happen. Carlton and Le both had ace-king and chopped the pot as the real action was happening between Jaeschke and Schumacher.

Jake Schumacher: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Cody Jaeschke: {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Jaeschke obliterated the board as it ran out {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, giving him a flush by the turn and leaving Schumacher to claim the unfortunate title of Bubble Boy.

"3 Putts" Le has also since won another massive pot as the dust has settled with in-the-money play and now finds himself with around 410,000 in chips, putting him near the top of the leader board as the tournament has made its way into the money.

Alsup Eliminates Sell Before Break; Short Stacks and Eliminations Nearing Bubble

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Rich Alsup
Rich Alsup

Players are on their first 10-minute break of the day to color up the T500 chips.

Just before break, Rich Alsup was on the button and raised to 10,500 after action was folded to him. Jason Sell three-bet all in from the big blind for 54,000. Alsup thought for a while and then called.

Jason Sell: {a-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Rich Alsup: {q-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Alsup was all over the flop {q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}, but the turn {a-Hearts} put Sell back in front and in position to double. The river {k-Diamonds} turned the tides once more, however, and Sell found himself with the second-best hand and no more chips, resulting in his elimination from the tournament.

Brad Berman was also eliminated right before break, ending his campaign at a third Main Event title and missing an opportunity at eclipsing $1,000,000 in lifetime earnings.

Aside from that, play has been trending towards a slower pace as the tournament is just four eliminations away from the money. Here are a few short stacks with the bubble approaching.
