Hand 15

Juha Helppi raises to 6,000 with {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. Marcel Luske cold calls with {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades} in the small blind and Hellmuth makes a squeeze-play in the big blind to 20,000 with {3-Clubs}{4-Spades}. Helppi folds then Luske moves all in for Hellmuth's last 52,000 and obviously Hellmuth couldn't call.

The Poker Brat has done everything wrong so far and at this stage he is a big favorite to get the bagel.

Hand 14

Hellmuth made a minimum raise from the small blind with {A-Spades}{7-Spades} and got called by Vicky Coren holding {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}.

Hellmuth bet 8,000 in the dark before the flop of {6-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{10-Hearts}.
Coren called.

Turn: {2-Diamonds} and both checked.
River: {4-Hearts} and both checked.

Vicky showed the pair of nines and Phil gave us all a history lesson.
"That's my hand. Two black nines, she's using my own weapons against me!"

Hellmuth won his first bracelet (which of course he is wearing today) with {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} against Johnny Chan with - amazingly - {A-Spades}{7-Spades}.

Hand 13

Hellmuth gets a walk in the big blind and for a change decided to look. (He doesn't like looking when he gets a walk.)

He had {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}. That's not going to make him feel very good.

Hand 10

Marcel Luske
Marcel Luske
Juha Helppi limps in first position with {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}, as does Luske with {3-Spades}{3-Hearts} along with Frazer {7-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and Eddy Scharf {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}.

Flop: {7-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Turn: {Q-Diamonds} which hits Scharf and he bets out 6,000. Marcel Luske raises to 21,000 and takes it down.

Hand 8

Helppi made a minimum raise with {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} and Hellmuth called with {A-Hearts}{7-Clubs} in the small blind.

Flop: {8-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Helppi bet 5,000 and Hellmuth called.

Turn: {Q-Diamonds}
Helppi bet 10,000 and won the pot.

Hand 7

Eddy Scharf continues his aggressive start, this time raising with {3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} attacking Hellmuth's big blind and taking it.

Hand 5

Eddy Scrarf
Eddy Scrarf
Eddy Scharf opens on the button to 6,000 with {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}. Ian Frazer calls with {K-Spades}{Q-Spades} in the small blind and Juha Hellpi plays {K-Diamonds}{10-Spades} in the big blind.

Flop: {2-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{J-Clubs}

It's checked around to Scharf who bets 10,000 and takes it down.

Hand 3

Phil Hellmuth raises to 4,000 (a minimum raise) with {7-Spades}{7-Clubs} and surprisingly Eddy Scharf gave up his big blind with {A-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}.

Reminder of the League Standings

Except for Eddy Scharf, everyone in this field really needs a win. It's possible that at least one player will be mathematically eliminated after this heat.
