Only One Pair
Benjamin Schroder raised from middle position to 7,000, picking up no fewer than three callers, before Pavel Stolao put in the 3-bet to 35,000 from the small blind. Schroder folded, with Laurent Manderlier calling behind him, as he and Stolao went heads-up to a flop.
Stolao quickly put in a 40,000 continuation bet, which Manderlier was having none of, as he raised to 100,000. Stolao wasted no time calling the raise and the pair took a turn. Stolao checked it over to Manderlier, who this time reached for 180,000 chips. After a long dwell, Stolao put the call in before the came down on the river.
Stolao counted out his stack and thought long and hard, before checking it over to Manderlier a second time. Manderlier confidently picked up his stack of blue 100,000-value chips, which easily had Stolao covered, and dropped them over the line. Stolao flirted with the idea of calling, before eventually folding, showing face up. Manderlier was very happy to show the bluff and revealed his as he dragged in a nice pot.
