Biclea Rides Away With the Win

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Jakub Fujerik raised to 200,000 from late position and action folded to Daniel Biclea on the button. Biclea shoved all in and Fujerik called.

Daniel Biclea: {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}
Jakub Fujerik: {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}

The board ran out {K-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} - no danger for Biclea as he had the higher pocket pair and he doubled up.

Wonder Flop For Wolech

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Rene Wolech drags in a mammoth pot
Rene Wolech drags in a mammoth pot

We join the action on table 34, with an absolute mountain of chips in the middle, looking at a board reading {10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Alexander Nikolic has the all-in triangle in front of him, with Yang Wang and Rene Wolech both checking a dry sidepot.

The {8-Clubs} landed on the turn, with both players checking again, before the {3-Diamonds} paired on the river and both players opting to check a third time. Nikolic shrugged and turned over {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for ace high, with Wang's {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} no good either, as Wolech flopped top pair top kicker with {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and dragged in a mammoth pot.

Trimmel Makes Matura Fold

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Walter Matura
Walter Matura

Walter Trimmel raised to 175,000 from the cutoff and was called by Walter Matura and Leopold Grabovsky in the blinds.

They all checked through the {10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} on the flop. The {10-Clubs} came on the turn, Matura opened to 225,000. Grabovsky folded and Trimmel called.

The {Q-Hearts} came on the river, Matura checked, now the action was back on Trimmel. He decided to bet 400,000. This caused Matura to go into the tank, some of the other players at the table started looking at the tournament clock to see how long he had already been thinking. After a while, he decided to give up and fold his cards.

We Three Jacks

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

We join the action on table 33 with Martin Kuliffay facing a big all-in on a board reading {2-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}.

Kuliffay had led the river for 300,000 and was facing a shove worth 1,125,000. After some consideration, he made the call, with his opponent confidently whipping over {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}. The whole table was surprised to see that Kuliffay had a better hand, when he turned over {a-Spades}{j-Spades}.

"It felt very much like pocket tens," said Kuliffay as he dragged in the huge pot, bringing him close to the front of the remaining field of 51.

Zippered Done For Today

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Peter Zipperer was left with only 25,000 after losing a big hand against Peter Horvath earlier. In the last hand before the break, Zipperer had gone all-in from the under-the-gun position.

Alexander Nikolic raised to 130,000 from the hijack and was called by Robin Röth-Seegers in the cutoff. Yang Wang, sitting on the button, grabbed a stack of orange chips, worth 25,000 each, and three-betted to 500,000. Anthony Ghamrawi took some time to think and then decided to four-bet shove from the big blind. Nikolic, Seegers both folded very quickly.

Wang, however, asked the dealer for a count of Ghamrawi's stack. The dealer did and counted that Ghamrawi had 1,605,000 in total in front of him. Wang gave up.

Anthony Ghamrawi: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Peter Zipperer: {K-Spades}{7-Spades}

The board ran out {6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} - even though Zipperer flopped a straight draw, the turn and river didn't help and he was sent home with €500 extra on top of the €250 he had earned earlier.

Wolech Wins Almost All

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Rene Wolech
Rene Wolech

Just before the break, Peter Zipperer raised to 120,000 from mid-position to see that Rene Wolech, in late position, decided to three-bet to 360,000. Action folded back to Zipperer who shoved all in. Wolech snap-called and they both flipped their cards over. Their stacks were pretty even.

Rene Wolech: {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}
Peter Zipperer: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}

The flop came {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{K-Hearts} - one of the kings that Zipperer was trying to avoid decided to show up. The {9-Diamonds} on the turn didn't change much as Zipperer needed an ace to beat Wolech. The {J-Clubs} on the river that completed the board made sure that Wolech won the hand.

The dealer counted out Wolech's stack first as it seemed to be less than Zipperer's. In the end, Wolech had 1,345,000 and he doubled up as Zipperer had 25,000 more.
