Another day has wrapped up at the Baha Mar Resort in the Bahamas for the 2018 Caribbean Poker Party. The $25,500 MILLIONS World has just concluded and the final 59 players have bagged up their chips. The Day 1a chip leader, Chance Kornuth, had another stellar day on the felt and will carry another big stack into Day 3 as well.

Kornuth bagged a mighty impressive 18,245,000 chips which was good enough for second place on the leaderboard. Kornuth maintained his position near the top of the leaderboard throughout the entire day and even shared some time as the leader. Kornuth had high hopes of bagging up the chip lead again but Steve O'Dwyer ruined that with a late surge.

The day began with 183 players returning from the Day 1 flights but there were many more who were looking to enter the field. Late registration was open through the first four levels and the dinner break and many players took full advantage. The field grew to 394 total entries, just six off of making the $10 million guaranteed prizepool.

Once registration was closed, the chip lead started to change hands multiple times. Matt Berkey (12,100,000) jumped out to a big lead when he picked up pocket aces against partypoker's Isaac Haxton's pocket kings. The two players got all of the chips in the middle on the turn and Berkey held on.

Nick Petrangelo was another player to spend some time in the lead after he eliminated [Removed:150]. Both players held relatively big stacks at the time but it was Petrangelo who came out ahead, sending Iadisernia to the rail.

It didn't take long for O'Dwyer (25,650,000) to make his claim at the top of the leaderboard, picking up multiple sizeable pots, including one against another big stack of Sam Greenwood. O'Dwyer bet all three streets and finally got Greenwood off of his hand on the river. In the last few hands of the night, O'Dwyer took down a couple massive pots against partypoker Joao Simao to claim the end-of-day chip lead.

The partypoker pros to make it through to Day 3 include Jason Koon (6,705,000), Joao Simao (6,470,000), and Isaac Haxton (1,370,000). It wasn't all roses for everyone though as Kristen Bicknell, Fedor Holz, Marcel Luske, Sam Trickett, and Mike Sexton were just a few of the names to be eliminated throughout the day.

A few other big stacks to keep an eye on as the money bubble approaches are Ben Tollerene (17,210,000), Andras Nemeth (14,525,000), Benjamin Pollak (14,510,000), Leon Tosukernik (12,890,000), Manig Loeser (11,915,000), and Roger Teska (11,000,000). It shouldn't take long to reach the money bubble with the tournament being only 20 eliminations away. A min-cash will be worth $60,000, more than double the buy-in, but everyone will have their sights set on the first-place prize of $2,000,000.
