Hanna Runs Into a Straight

Level 5 : 700/1,400, 1,400 ante

On the tail end of a bigger pot, Paulius Vaitiekunas bet 65,000 on the {q-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} river out of the big blind. Georges Hanna in early position gave it some thought and called.

Vaitiekunas rolled over the {7-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for the nut straight and Hanna mucked.

Akiki Wins Two Big Pots in a Row

Level 5 : 700/1,400, 1,400 ante

Aleksei Psurtcev check-called for 20,000 on the {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop and then check-called all-in for 55,900 when Gabriel Akiki jammed the {a-Spades} turn.

Akiki tabled the {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} and Psurtcev was drawing with the {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}, which made the {5-Spades} river a formality. One hand later, Nikolay Fal three-bet and then bet the {9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop for 17,000, picking up a call by Akiki. Fal also bet the {8-Spades} turn for 41,000 with 56,000 behind. Akiki jammed and Fal folded.

Triple Up for Abou Saleh

Level 5 : 700/1,400, 1,400 ante

Bora Kurtulus raised and Elias Abou Saleh moved all in from the small blind for just 8,500. The big blind and Kurtulus called. On a flop of {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}, the action was checked and the big blind bet the {q-Clubs} turn for 10,000, Kurtulus just called.

What followed was the {6-Spades} on the river and the big blind check-folded to Kurtulus's bet of 25,000. He tabled {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for the nut flush but Abou Saleh had that beat with {7-Spades}{7-Clubs} for a full house.

"My first hand today," the Lebanese joked after the triple up.

Chouity Back in Action

Level 5 : 700/1,400, 1,400 ante

Nicolas Chouity has been spotted back in the field and the second bullet appears to be much smoother, as he already doubled the stack. In a recent hand, Chouity bet the {q-Spades}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{8-Spades}{9-Spades} river for 22,000 and his sole remaining opponent check-folded.

Chouity has been one of 31 players to re-enter after they were out of chips on the first entry of the day.
