Day 2 of the €1 million guaranteed 2017 partypoker LIVE MILLION Germany €1,100 Main Event at King's Casino Rozvadov was a huge success. The day began with 299 hopefuls competing out of the 820 entrants participating in the seven opening days. By the end of the day, the field was trimmed down to just 26 players.

Local Czech player Michal Mrakeš leads the way after Day 2 with 8.255 million chips closely followed by German WSOP gold bracelet winner Eddy Scharf with 7.955 million. A little luck helped Mrakeš along as in a hand he became the first player to reach the 4 million chip count after his ace-seven eliminated two players holding ace-queen.

Shortly after the dinner break, the money bubble broke with the remaining 100 players guaranteed at least a €2,000 payout. Partypoker Sponsored pro Natalia Breviglieri, who is still among the players returning for tomorrow's final day, eliminated Czech Republic's Ondrej Már after her pocket queens held against her opponents ace-king.

Other players to fall short of the money during Day 2 included partypoker Sponsored Pros Anatoly Filatov and Jan-Peter Jachtmann. Despite falling short in the Main Event, both players have had a remarkable festival with Filatov shipping the High Roller yesterday for €42,000 as part of a three-way deal and Jachtmann winning over €61,000 in a televised cash game on Thursday.

Meanwhile, players to cash in the tournament but not advance to Day 3 included Rehman Kassam and Kuljinder "Kully" Sidhu who were eliminated during the same hand in 65th and 64th places respectfully to bank €3,200.

Also eliminated in the money on Day 2 were former EPT Grand Final winner Jan Bendik (46th - €4,000), Tomas Fara (45th - €4,500) and James Akenhead (40th - €4,500).

Main Event action will resume tomorrow at noon local time. The PokerNews Live Reporting Team will be on hand to report all big hands and bad beats until a winner is crowned.

Also taking place tomorrow is the Turbo Day 1b flight of the partypoker LIVE MILLION €1,100 No Limit Hold'em 8-Max. The tournament has currently attracted 104 entrants and needs another 96 to join the turbo Day 1b field at noon tomorrow to meet its huge €200,000 guaranteed prize pool. The second and final day of this event will kick off minutes after Day 1b is completed.
