On fourth street, the board read {K-Diamonds} {J-Spades} {5-Spades} {A-Diamonds} between Sami "LarsLuzak" Kelopuro and Shawn Buchanan. Kelopuro fired 4,500 and Buchanan made the call.

The river card was the {4-Hearts} and Kelopuro bet 8,000. After tanking, Buchanan made the call, but mucked when he saw that Kelopuro held {A-Clubs} {Q-Hearts}.

Kruel Update

Christian Kruel is seated to the right of Mike "The Mouth" Matusow. He just three-bet Matusow and Matusow has been talking about how he's going to just let him do it all day long before he picks up the goods and comes back with a four-bet.

Kruel's sitting on 92,000 at the moment.

Berende Doubles

Lex Veldhuis opened to 1,250 in the cutoff and Isaac Haxtion popped it to 4,600 on the button. Paul Berende shoved for about 18,000 from the big blind and Haxton was the lone caller.

The hands:

Haxton: {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Berende: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The board rolled out {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} as Berende's rivered set bested Haxton's flopped pair. Haxton fell to 4,500 while Berende moved up to about 40,000.

Pocket Fours Fail This Time for Richey

After some preflop action, the flop was {Q-Spades} {J-Hearts} {4-Hearts} between Brett Richey and an opponent. Richey had position and after his opponent bet 5,600, Richey raised to 15,000. The player then moved all in and Richey made the quick call. He flopped another set of fours with the {4-Diamonds} {4-Clubs}, but this time, he was on the wrong end of things with the hand. His opponent held {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}.

Richey would need to make quad fours again in order to win the pot. The turn was the {J-Diamonds} and the river the {A-Spades} and Richey lost the hand. The set-over-set confrontation caused Richey to drop down to 40,000 chips.

Recent Eliminations

Mercier one of the recent casualties
Mercier one of the recent casualties
Jason Mercier, Hafiz Khan and Christian Harder have all been eliminated recently. Mercier gave us the run down on how he went out.

Bryn Kenney raised under the gun to 1,600 and Alex Kostritsyn called. Andrew "luckychewy" Lchtenberger over-called and then Jason Mercier reraised to 6,200. Kenney and Kostritsyn folded and then Lichtenberger took about 45 seconds before moving all in. Mercier said he thought he might have a low pair and didn't mind flipping and called off the rest of his stack. He began the hand with about 30,000 chips.

Mercier held {K-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} and Lichtenberger held {K-?} {Q-?}. Mercier failed to get there and was sent to the rail.
