Faces in the Crowd

With a number of side events running out around the perimeter of the arena, the spectator stands are mostly full of friends and family of the remaining seven players.

A few notable faces stick out in the crowd, though. Shaun Deeb, Tom "kingsofcards" Marchese, Isaac "westmenloAA" Baron, Jane "DanishPersuASIAN69" Villafuerte, Brent "Astrolux85" Roberts, and David "Doc Sands" Sands have all been seen popping in and out.

At one point on Day 4 of this event, it looked like Jon "FatalError" Aguiar might secure a seat at this final table, but he lost a big all-in race, and now he's here as a common spectator as well.

And last but not least, Allyn Jaffrey Shulman is here to root on her hubby, Barry.

Zachary Goldberg Eliminated in 7th Place ($300,000)

Zachary Goldberg - 7th Place
Zachary Goldberg - 7th Place
Hand #42- Aage Ravn

Ryan D'Angelo has the button in Seat 2. Action folds to Ty Reiman and he raises to 280,000. Zachary Goldberg moves all in and action folds over to Aage Ravn. He asks for a count on Goldberg's stack and is informed that the all-in bet is 1.530 million. Ravn moves all in after a moment of thought and Reiman folds.

Ravn shows two overs with the {A-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} and has Goldberg covered, who holds the {10-Spades} {10-Diamonds}.

The flop comes down {8-Hearts} {J-Spades} {K-Hearts} and Ravn picks up a straight draw. The turn card lands with the {A-Hearts} and catapults Ravn into the lead. The river card completes the board with the {7-Spades} and Ravn eliminates Goldberg in 7th place.

Goldberg earns $300,000 for his finish; not bad for the first time he bought in directly for a live event.

Hand #43 - Ty Reiman

Aage Ravn has the button in Seat 3. Ty Reiman opens the pot with a raise to 280,000 and is called by both Ryan D'Angelo and Barry Shulman.

The flop comes down {2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and the action is checked around to D'Angelo who fires a 470,000 bullet. Shulman passes, but Reiman raises to 1,320,000, sending D'Angelo into the tank. D'Angelo then reaches for chips, calmly shuffling a stack of reds (T10,000), but eventually folds, surrendering the pot to Reiman.

Hand #45 - Benjamin Zamani

Barry Shulman has the button in Seat 6. Action folds around the table to Benjamin Zamani in the small blind who makes it 280,000 to play. Ty Reiman calls from the big blind and the two see a {6-Clubs}{7-Spades}{A-Diamonds} flop.

Zamani fires a 300,000 continuation bet on the flop prompting Reiman to send his cards into the muck.

Glo and Tom

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

Tom Koral was, unfortunately, the first man out here at the final table, and Gloria caught up with him for a post-exit interview. That one's depressing though, so let's take a look at Tom in happier times. He stepped aside to chat with Glo yesterday, too, and things were a bit more chipper with 11 players left. Check out what Koral had to say on Day 5:

Hand #46 - Ty Reiman

Benjamin Zamani has the button in Seat 7. Aage Ravn raises to 275,000. Harrison Gimbel calls behind and then Zamani also calls. Ty Reiman calls from the small blind and Ryan D'Angelo folds out of the big blind.

The flop comes down {J-Spades} {6-Spades} {9-Hearts} and action checks over to Ravn. He fires 400,000. The two players next to act fold and Reiman makes the call.

The turn card is the {10-Spades} and both players check. The river card is the {Q-Diamonds} and both players check again.

"Sixes," announces Reiman. He tables {6-Clubs} {6-Spades} for a set of sixes and Ravn shows {A-?} {9-?} for a pair of aces. Reiman scoops in the pot.

Hand #47 - Ryan D'Angelo

Ryan D'Angelo
Ryan D'Angelo
Ty Reiman has the button in Seat 8. Benjamin Zamani limps into the pot from the cutoff, Ryan D'Angelo completes from the small blind and Aage Ravn checks his option in the big.

The flop comes down {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} and all players check. The turn brings the {4-Diamonds} and action is checked to Zamani who bets 175,000. D'Angelo makes the call but Ravn folds, sending the action to the river -- {5-Hearts}.

D'Angelo checks once more allowing Zamani to fire a 225,000 bet. D'Angelo calls immediately and tables {K-Hearts}{5-Spades} for two pair, aces and fives, to take down the pot.
