Matt Marafioti has been nursing his stack for the majority of the day today, and moments ago, when the action folded to him in the small blind, he shoved for his last 160,000 or so. Jason Koon called in the big blind, and the hands were opened.

Marafioti was ahead, and remained ahead after the flop fell {q-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {10-Spades} . The {a-Spades} spiked on the turn however, and Marafioti was one card away from elimination. The {6-Hearts} completed the board, missing Marafioti, and he was indeed eliminated from the tournament.

Duhamel Wins a Monster, Back over 1 Million Chips

Jonathan Duhamel is stacking more chips.

Four players saw a flop of {9-Diamonds} {4-Spades} {k-Spades} , including Nick Yunis, Nicolas Fierro, Team PokerStars Pro Jonathan Duhamel, and Team PokerStars Online Member Randy Lew. The action checked to Yunis on the button, and he tossed out 56,000 into a pot of about 85,000. Only Duhamel called.

The turn was the {3-Hearts} , both players checked, and the river brought the {6-Spades} . Duhamel led for 86,000, and Yunis tanked for quite some time before raising to 200,000. It was Duhamel's turn to sink into the tank, and he did so for a minute or so before min-raising to 335,000. Yunis begrudgingly called, and Duhamel turned over {a-Spades} {q-Spades} for an ace-high flush.

Yunis mucked, and dropped all the way down to 705,000 chips.

Yunis Loses Another Big Pot, Crippled

Leonid Bilokur doubles to over a million chips.

Nick Yunis opened to 26,000 from the cutoff seat, and Leonid Bilokur three-bet to 62,000 on the button. The blinds released, and the action was back on Yunis. He thought for a bit, then four-bet to 144,000. Bilokur five-bet shoved for 557,000, and Yunis shrugged, then called.

From under the gun, Jason Koon raised to 26,000. Terje Augdal reraised to 66,000 from the cutoff seat and then play folded to Michael Telker in the big blind. He reraised all in for 261,000. Koon took some time, but folded. Augdal quickly called.

Haxton Doubles and Cripples Augdal

After Jason Koon opened to 26,000 from the cutoff seat, Terje Augdal three-bet to 61,000 from the button. Isaac Haxton tanked in the small blind and then reraised all in for 389,000. Govert Metaal folded the big blind and Koon had a decision. He tanked for a couple minutes and folded. Augdal now went into the tank. He spent several minutes there before eventually making the call.

The flop, turn and river kept Haxton in front as the {7-Clubs} {5-Spades} {2-Spades} {4-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} fell. Haxton doubled to over 800,000 while Augdal was left with just 30,000 in chips.

Yunis Doubles Through Lew

Action folded to Randy Lew in the small blind and he moved all in. Nick Yunis called all in for 153,000 from the big blind. Lew tabled the {Q-Clubs} {3-Clubs} and Yunis the {K-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} .

The board came {A-Spades} {J-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {10-Clubs} {2-Hearts} and Yunis doubled up.

Terje Augdal Eliminated in 10th Place ($79,770)

After folding one hand, Terje Augdal was all in from under the gun for his last 26,000. Govert Metaal made the call on the button and then Michael Telker reraised to 95,000 from the small blind. In the big blind, Jason Koon reraised to 175,000. Metaal and Telker both folded. First, Koon was pushed the side pot and then the cards were revealed between him and Augdal.

Augdal showed the {9-Hearts} {5-Hearts} and was up against the {J-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} for Koon. The flop came down {A-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} {4-Clubs} , but things didn't get interesting until the {2-Hearts} landed on the turn and gave Augdal a good amount of hope. The river missed him with the {2-Diamonds} , though, and Augdal was forced to the rail in 10th place.

Nick Yunis Eliminated in 9th Place ($79,770)

Nick Yunis got the remainder of his stack in the middle preflop holding {5-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} . He was racing against Team PokerStars Pro Jonathan Duhamel's {a-Diamonds} {k-Spades} , and Duhamel spiked a pair on the {10-Clubs} {k-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} flop. Neither the turn ( {q-Spades} ), nor the river ( {j-Clubs} ) improved Yunis' hand (in fact, it gave Duhamel Broadway) and he was eliminated from the tournament in ninth place.

While Nick Yunis was being eliminated, Michael Telker, Jason Koon, and Govert Metaal were building a big pot on the other table. Metaal started the action, raising to 25,000 from the cutoff seat. Telker three-bet to 68,000 on the button, Koon cold four-bet to 123,000 from the small blind, and the action was back on Metaal.

"How much is the minimum raise?" he asked the dealer.

The dealer examined Telker's three-bet and Koon's four-bet, and informed Metaal that the minimum raise would be to 178,000. Metaal decided to make it 190,000, Telker immediately folded, and Koon called.

The flop fell {2-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} , and both players checked. The {7-Hearts} turned, and Koon led for 142,000. Metaal sat quietly for around thirty seconds, then folded {a-Clubs} {k-Clubs} face up.
