From early position, Anthony Gregg raised to 51,000. Nikolaos Alafogiannis called from the big blind to see the flop come down . Alafogiannis shoved all in for approximately 300,000 and Gregg quickly folded, claiming to have the "worst two pair possible."
On the next hand, Xuan Liu raised to 50,000 from early position and action folded to Alafogiannis in the small blind. He tanked for a couple minutes before Daniel Shiff in the big blind asked if Alafogiannis knew the action was on him. Alafogiannis didn't and was surprised. He checked his hand and then went to raise to 53,000. Of course, Liu had already made a raise to 50,000, so Alafogiannis was ruled to just call. Shiff then called as well.
The flop came down and Alafogiannis bet 83,000. After Shiff folded, Liu raised all in. Alafogiannis folded and showed the from his hand and Liu scooped the pot.
When the table folded around to the button, David Peters shoved his last 316,000 into the middle, and Ruben Visser re-shoved from the small blind. At showdown, Visser's and Peters' looked a lot alike, and the board split the pot between them.
Under the gun, Alex Venovski shoved all in for about a half-million chips, and right next door, Ruben Visser did the same. He had Venovski covered by a bit, and when the rest of the table folded, the coin flip was shown down.
Showdown
Venovski:
Visser:
Visser's ladies held fast on the board, and Venovski has run out of chips. He'll notch a 23rd-place result worth $52,000 while Visser almost doubles up to about 1.1 million.
Danny Chevalier open-shoved three straight hands, and on the third, Daniel Shiff re-jammed from the cutoff seat. The action behind folded, and the hands were opened.
Showdown
Shiff:
Chevalier:
Shiff's kings held as the board ran , and Chevalier was eliminated from the tournament.
John Dibella raised to 65,000 from the button, and Corey Burbick moved all in for 510,000 in the small blind. It would cost Dibella about a third of his chips to call, and he did just that to put Burbick at risk. Dibella was dominated, though.
Showdown
Dibella:
Burbick:
The flop was a good one for Burbick, and the turn and river secured his double to move over a million chips.
First in from middle position, Anthony Gregg opened to 44,000, and Mark Drover three-bet to 106,000 in the cutoff. Next door, Byron Kaverman came in from the cold with another raise to 235,000 total, and that folded Gregg without incident. Not Drover, though. He popped it right back up to 505,000, and Kaverman surrendered his cards back to the dealer.
It took about ten minutes of action to see a flop at any of the tables. Over on the feature, Faraz Jaka opened with a middle-position raise, and Phil D'Auteuil three-bet him a couple seats over. Jaka called, and off they went.
The dealer spread out , and Jaka check-called another 103,000 from D'Auteuil to arrive at the turn. D'Auteuil fired 245,000 now, and Jaka took a look and folded.
The small blind is 10,000, the large blind is 20,000. Antes? 3,000. Robbie Thompson has just called the dealers into action, and Day 5 is off and running.
