Martin Comer Survives By Default

Martin Comer moved all in pre-flop and got two callers, both of them having Comer covered. With the board reading {A-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}, Player A made a bet on the river and Player B folded. Player A took the side pot.

When it came time to show down for the main pot, Player A did not turn his cards over and pushed them just slightly toward the center of the table. The dealer took this as a fold, mucked his cards, and pushed the main pot to Comer. Player A was naturally upset at this, saying that he had the nuts and would have won. The floor was called over and it was explained that since he did not turn up his hand and pushed his cards out, even just slightly, it could be interpreted as a fold.

Moral of the story, kids? Always turn up your hand when you have the nuts. It could cost you the whole pot.
