Day 1a Started
The Main Event of the inaugural PokerStars Festival Korea, the first PokerStars Festival held in Asia, begins today. Cards will fly at 2:00 p.m. local time in the first of four starting flights in this ₩1,650,000 (equivalent to approximately $1,470) buy-in event held at Paradise City Incheon. Over the course of 12 45-minute levels, players in Day 1a will endeavor to grow their starting stacks of 30,000 as much as possible before bagging chips for the night.
There will be three additional starting flights before Day 2 begins on Sunday, July 23. Here's a look at the structure for Day 1a:

Registration will remain open until the end of level 9. There will be a 10-minute break every three levels and each player is allowed one entry per starting flight.

The first PokerStars Festival Korea Main Event is under way. Players are allowed only one entry per flight, so there is no reentry if they are eliminated.
Jesse Rosen bet 2,100, which looked to be a little over the size of the pot, from the cutoff on a completed board of . His opponent in the small blind quickly cut out a call and put it in, but Rosen showed for a wheel on the river and scooped the pot.

In a pot that saw a few raises preflop, a player under the gun checked to Richi Dong Hee Ko in second position, and he bet 2,500 on the flop. After his opponent called and checked the turn, Ko put in a bet of 4,000. The under-the-gun player mucked, and Ko showed before taking the pot.

With the board reading , a player in the small blind who had the betting lead on the flop fired in 2,500. Weihsun Lu raised to 7,500 and received a quick call. Lu bet 10,000 more on the river, and he got called once more. Lu turned over for the nut straight, and his opponent pounded on the table in submission and mucked.
